Broken spark plug...

Hi guys,

Was changing the spark plugs on my mums KA when POP snapped clean off..

Any advice would be much appreciated!

I've had this happen to me....

The correct way would be to remove the head and then remove the spark plug ensuing you carefully remove any debris from the broken plug. This was obviously an expensive option so as the plug had just sheared on the thread and the ceramic was in one piece I used a number 6 easy out to remove the remaining plug thread. I then used an extendable magnet to gently pick up any metal that was around and in the plug hole. Fortunately I recovered one small slither of thread from the top of the plug hole.

It did the trick but I must stress its not without risk as any broken metal inside your cylinder is a recipe for disaster tbf.

Luckily the ceramic all came out in one piece so it is just the thread left. I have got a screw removal tool but cant seem to get anything to attach to it!

Same, they are an odd size and shape. I got the nearest size socket and rammed it on, Not the best way but it was the only way at the time.

Super glue it and let it dry? Then hope it's strong enough to twist it off?
