Big Bens non Clio

Haha I find this situation in a lot of Fiesta ST drivers. Unfortunately they seemed to be in abundance pre-map (where the cars were pretty much the same sort of power), I've yet to find one post-map though unfortunately, really looking forward to the day though
They'll have to be pretty special even with a map to keep up with your flying banana mate:french:

I have an ST 'friend' too. Red one with Yellow badges and a driver who fancies himself as the next Colin McRae.....

Seeing a Clio badge must make these owners 'rage'.

Nice little write up there Ben of the final farewell to the n/a. Big excitement I imagine for the boost, and I'm sure that once you've first experienced that pull of torque you'll be smitten!

Hope it all goes well and it won't be too long of a wait for you mate.

I think they're jealous of the Renaultsport exclusivity. Isn't a day go by where I don't see a fiesta ST (or was that a zetec)

Thanks Jimbo. Patience not exactly my strong point!!
If I get antsy I'll just have to remember how long somebody else's build took recently:grinning:

Patience is a virtue as they say, although I think I'd be climbing the walls if I was without my car for a couple of weeks  the pay off will be so worth it though, especially when you first track it and remember why it was you went down that path

Haha! Half the problem is with that car as its easy to obtain for the younger guys, putting a fast car in a new inexperienced drivers hand is a bit of a recipe for disaster! Not all of them this way don't get me wrong, but the amount of times I've seen them in car parks and a spotty looking teenager has got into it..

Don't forget the limited edition corsa! Just as rare of a beast!

I had a poor experience pre-map on the M5 with a new Fiesta ST. Absolutely pulled my pants down because mine was a little sluggish...my other excuse is that I had 4 alloys in the back of the car too.. :ninja: need to find him again and have a little play....

Ben, I'm seriously jealous. Defo coming to that trackday for a ride if I'm not working. I've personally come to the idea (sort of with @kevlar ) that actually there isn't much point in upgrading to a 200 in the near future (unless a Raider came along for a realllly good price). Instead the old girl will be given some love and attention and if the situation arises that she needs serious work, I'll be in the market for a donor Meg.

You'll be grinning from ear to ear when it's done, I'm sure.:french:

Straight line the ST is good but won't live with a Clio on a twisty bit. You'll get your revenge!!
Be nice if you can make it. Be only to glad to let you ride shotgun mate:grinning:

For a minute there I thought you were talking about a BMW M5.. And was thinking theres no way even with 50 wheels in the back is a fiesta ST pulling thats pants down! Then I realised you were on about the M5 road lol... facepalm

Here I go again putting your thread on a tangent ben lol!

Cheap / 0% finance you mean ? Like Citroen (Coupled with their Free / Cheap insurance) : a large portion the reason the Saxo VTR's / VTS's were so popular back in the day.....

Yeah basically that... Fair play to ford when they brought it out, but now the entire reason I wouldn't own one is there is so damned many of them... Makes them not special.

Can't blame the kids for jumping all over that deal. Assume Ford have done something similar with the ST??

Yeah I had a look at one in a local dealership, the guy was so pushy though..it's my money and if anyone tries to push me into a purchase I'll turn around and walk straight out the door. Went from enquiring about a test drive to talking spec and finance price in the space of about 3 minutes for me! Only wanted to have a little go in it....

Bullets on and very happy with them. Would of perhaps preferred to of kept the raised lettering but was never going to pay the amount of money quoted to achieve that.

Small little mod but enhances the overall exterior a bit which was the aim.

Quality of finish from SS is again exemplary

Awesome Ben, look cracking on there, and as Shuv said, look like they always belonged there.
Glad you had a good final run, but as said at Blyton, it’s all makes total sense to do this. You’re getting the work done at a reputable specialist and there’ll be no looking back once it’s all done. Really excited for you
