Bollocks to that!! If I’m there (which I’m 99% sure I will be), if you pay the extra driver money you’re more than welcome to chuck mine round for a few laps.

What I haven’t said is that he has to wear my helmet because I’m getting pissed off with getting my photos back to find the best ones involve @jamesgw200’s ugly mug...

On the subject of battery’s from a few pages ago a hawker oddest pc680 will start a Clio nicely and be very slim and relatively light I am a little bit of a battery nerd as well as alternators from my car audio days

I’m looking at a 1700t for under my bonnet for when I install the stereo, minimal weight increase, massive power increase

    Update:

Pulled the trigger and ordered some Gaz Gold coilovers:grinning:

Guy on Facebook was selling them at a decent price so took the plunge. Will hopefully have them fitted way before my next trackday in July.
They have adjustable ride height and damping and I was able to choose my own spring rate.
Some confusion on this as Gaz are designed as a full coilover at the rear rather than a spring and separate shock like other kits.
@tombate911 was a great help guiding me through the process. Cheers mate:thumb:

I’ll probably need more supportive seats in the near future as mine only just cope with my lard ass as it is! Extra few mph cornering speed is going to be exciting to say the least:laughing:

    Thanks Pav.

Yes I was close to selling. Had to have a real think about where I was going with the car and what would it be like without it. Explored potential other cars and spoke to family members, friends and forum people and realised the best solution would be to finish what I’ve started and enjoy owning a nice car at the same time.
No reason the car won’t go on for years (touch wood) and I can add bits I want as time goes by.
I’m in it for a few more years yet I reckon and I’ll enjoy it I’m sure:grinning:

Imagine you got something new and it was a complete dog, that's my biggest concern on getting new cars, not everyone (well most are not) as particular as some us members, so you could get stung very easily.

I'm glad you kept it, you can now get back on the track and abuse it as it was intended Ben

    GREAT decision mate.

Really looking forward to reading your thoughts once it's all been fitted and set up.

Still waiting for coilovers to arrive. Hopefully later this week.
Decided to renew the anti roll bars and anti rotation links whilst I’m getting the coilies fitted. Didn’t bother with genuine Renault. Hopefully doesn’t bite me in the ass later on!

Will update again once everything is fitted. Hopefully soon:grin:
