Roll on Dec next year then mate. Will make you love the Clio SOOO much more having a daily.
Not much of an update but had a great few days in Lakes and some glorious weather.. sadly didn’t get chance to pull over and take some lovely scenic shots, however did squeeze these two in... also had a brief chance to push it in the twisties however much to the protesting of the missus!
Nice one Chris, I'm glad you had a good time out there! Car looks sweet as well!
it certainly does..think your lady needs to get one of these then you can walkie talkie each other
She’s ok in it after a drink or two so I think that’s the plan make sure she does shots before sprited driving
never thought of that
Proper lad's attitude is that, I like it get her drunk and then she won't mind
Nothing much to report on progress wise but had my first track outing yesterday at the lovely Snetterton Circuit with afew rag tag members from here
Car ran perfectly considering how much a novice I am and how standard she is. I really got on with the ad08r’s.
I think going forwards I need to invest in some better brake pads, as the day wore on and my confidence grew brake fade was rearing it’s ugly head but didn’t stop me from having a good time and was nice to have such company.
Alas enough jibberish and some pics...
From everything I have read it was a good day Chris. Car looks good on track! Hopefully I will join you & the others at a track day next year.
love these updates, especially when its your 1st track day.. people find out how much fun these are, even standard...
i have some footage of you i think,so let me edit it 1st and i'll link it here...
Cheers Pav I look forward to seeing it! Hopefully it’s not too traumatic
Spot on Beany. Car looks quite at home on track
Well after Snetterton the brake issue wore on my mind and a lot of team clique members here have forced me into going to Donington park on the 13th so I thought it’ll be best to upgrade the current set up...
It had new Brembo pads & HC Disc to the fronts only in may so I’ll swap the pads out for pfc Z rated ones. The rears are showing they’re age and need to be replaced so I’ve gone with drilled discs and DS2500 pads. Whilst I’ve been upgrading the brakes it’ll be worthwhile doing the fluid too so I’ve also ordered 2litres of RBF660 brake fluid.
All booked in for fitting Saturday so plenty of time to get it worn in before track day no2.
Excited to go to Donington, heard good things just hope the weather is as nice as Snetterton was.
Good call. You'll love Donington, wish I could have been there. Need to keep my #TeamClique membership up to date!
haha..nothing like peer pressure right??
while you on it why not get some braided brake lines too??
More peer pressure Pav??
makes sense, doesnt it..?lets spend big Chris..
on a more serious note, would be worth it while at it..you wont see/feel any difference but in a long run, just makes perfect sense..
Haha I’ll bear it in mind @Pav i currently also have @Benno trying to get me to buy a rear arb
i have a rear arb and honestly cant tell any difference it makes..but hey hoo,if you are spending your hadr earned cash, why not go big then
I see the rear arb as something to stop stuff flying around!!
