I had one the same in my mk2.
It was fine. Good sound, no probs.

It's just an aux cable tbh.

it really is just a headphone plug on a renault plug, and you can then enable AUX IN on the radio.

Better than one of those god awful radio transmitters thats for sure!

I have the same cable in my car, works fine as a basic audio cable.

I did one myself, all you need is the little iso connector that costs about 25p and 1 meter cable with a jack... go to any audio place they will have the connectors for sure... then activate aux in in the menu...

how do you activate AUX in the menu?

press one of the buttons, I believe it is the one where you change bass / trebble settings, if you hold it for say 5 seconds it will make a beep, the radio will mute and then you are in the menu where you can activate / deactivate LOUD, Speed loudness, turn on / off AM/LW and also activate AUX - IN

Works 100% on any device with a 3.5mm headphone output. Ipod, mobile, mp3 player etc
