Airbag Warning Light

Recently decided to adjust my steering wheel position and for some reason the Airbag warning light has come on, along with the engine management light.

Has anyone else had the same issue? I am aware that the wiring underneath the drivers seat can sometimes cause this, however I haven't moved the seat.

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Mine used to come on randomly as I was driving. I used one electrical tape to keep all the connections under the seat tight together and it hasn't come on since.

Did you have the steering wheel removed ? Maybe damaged the clock spring ? When you take the wheel off you need to make sure clock spring does not turn a rotation either way or the band inside gets torn/ damaged and the air bag light will come on.

For anyone interested.

I removed the plastic cover surrounding the steering wheel and it would appear the wiring for the airbag had become loose. Not too sure how this had happend however I played around with it a bit and the light has now went off.

Has this happend to anyone esle?
