I considered buying one of the kits available on this forum now but don't want to mess with the bottom pulley at the moment I case it messes up the timing at all.
So I'm planning to leave the standard pulley, remove the air con pump and tensioner, get a shorter belt and buy an alternator adjuster rod from eBay.
Can anyone see any problems with this? Why are people only doing it with smaller/lighter pulleys so far? Is it because there is bolt heads in the way if you try to use the standard pulley or is it just no one has tried it?
