Advice on Harness for Clio R27

Hello mates,

Would like to check if any of you fitted one of these Sabelt Harnesses...

I couldn't tell which one goes with my Clio R27 so I sent them an email, hope they reply back soon.

If anyone can help or advice would be appreciated as I'm really thinking to fit one of them in mine.

Sabelt supply many cars such as Ferrari F1 team, and Renault Megane R26.R

Dunno about Clio Cup, any idea?

Other brands: Sparco, Momo, and OMP

Cheers

are you planning on removing the fitted belts or using them alongside, one's easy the others harder, the other point is anchoring it in the rear, there are fixing eyes just below the seats but they're not really substantial enough to restrain you if you hit a wall, what you would need to do is fix a proper harnees fixing eye.

i do like willans harnesses had these in a mini i had

I've fitted 3 point bolt in sabelt harnesses in mine.

Very simple to fit to existing seat belt points.

I Don't mind removing my current seat belt, if it would be easier, but I didn't get your point about the fixing eye, aren't the recaros on our car ready for such harnesses?

Recaros will allow harnesses to be fitted without any additional fixing points.

Four points can be fixed if you want to buy clip on fixings and clip them to the isofix bar attachments.

These are the ones i got, fitted right on:

Man could you take some pics for the fixing points? As i'm really getting lost on this, lol

Q: I’m assuming that u didn’t use the bolts which came with it, didn’t u?

How about this one:

It got the same ending points which you got...

Man I'm really lost

Isofix points can be found in the gap where the rear bench meets the rear backrest. Harnesses can hook up to them.

As for front mounting points, you will probably need to replace the seatbelt mounting bolts with eye bolts.

I havent any pictures as of yet but i didnt use the supplied bolts.

The inner mounting requires you to remove the seat to allow you to use the same bolt and fixing point as the original buckle uses.

The outer mounting is attached to the front of the bar that the original seat belt loops around, noting the bar remains in place to space it away from interior trim.

And lastly the rear fixing is by the two extended torx bolts that hold the rear belt buckles and isofix bar in.

Anymore probs and i'll take pics for you mate.

Are the harnesses on demon-tweeks priced for one? I got a quote from k-tec to supply and fit and they came out with a price of £380...

Any chance of linking me to the eye bolts you have used for the fronts?

No eye bolts required, i bought bolt in harnesses not clip in.

Just use the original mounting points for the inertia belt.
