197 K-Tec Cat Back Exhaust Issue

Hi,

Exhaust seems to have a very noisy rattle at about 3000rpm. Please check out a video clip.

Over 3000 rpm, it sounds lovely, but at around 3000 it is so loud and annoying.

Anyone else experience this?

well its hard to tell cause i doubt you stayed at 3,000rpm at all

but at the beginning i noticed a very familiar noise that used to annoy me too..its the middle silencer and baffles inside that may be damaged..better make a stationary video and let somebody press the accelerator for you..

Noise is noticeable on acceleration at the following seconds mark in video;
3 sec
14 sec
36 sec

and noise is noticeable on overrun at the following seconds mark;
42 sec
46 sec
48 sec
56 sec
61 sec

I'd check the heatshields first. Failing that it sounds like the internal baffles like pav said.

Just to let everyone know, here was an issue with the baffles in RHS backbox. Ktec came to the party and sent another backbox to Sydney, and I returned original backbox.
