197 Alarm/Immobiliser Help!

Hey Guys, I need a bit of Advice on the Alarm/Immobiliser please.

I locked my car last night no problem eveything was fine , this morning when I went out to my Car I pushed the Unlock button and the Alarm went off. I tried Locking the car and then Unlocking it again it didnt work. So I got in it and Started it and that stopped it....... for a few seconds and then it started again , a couple of Locking/Unlocking motions later, eventually it stopped.

Now wherever I drive the Red Immobiliser Light in the Instruments Cluster stays on continuosly or when I stop, starts blinking. I dont think this is a good thing and was wondering if I have done something wrong....

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

not sure but if you disconected the battery wouldnt that reset it????

Im not too sure its a good suggestion though , I will give it a shot once I find my Sterio Code haha! Thanks

right. funny story this.

was picking the missus up in sheffield, went back to my car, openend the door alarm went off (key in hand) wudnt start so i put the card in slot *alarm still going off* car started and was able to drive. immobiliser not working lmao. i turned the car off locked and unlocked the door via the key and it was fine.

weird, it has never done it again since.
