    Noob!

Definitely great for track days and more. I bought mine for hillclimbs and sprints but will also be using on the odd track days. Biggest thing to look out for is the gear box ~ 3rd to 4th gear crunches are common and when the synchro's go can cost a bit to sort.

CLIO 197 CUP - Project TF

@VeiRoNv2 removed something like 3kg of sound deadening and then a load of metal brackets for around a 6kg weight saving I believe. You can do both though @jimmybell for even more weight savings (not my Clio but lots of metal holes cut to save weight). :thumb:

That's brilliant. What a funny loop hole. :grinning:

    Brake Lines (Braided)

Proline braided lines do what you are after I believe. AFAIK they have kits to replace every single hardline on our cars with braided lines. :thumb: Link here: https://www.prolinebraidedlines.com/collections/clio-iii

Clio 197 Cup - Time Attack Build Progress

@Alistair did you fit the stud conversion? I've got a set ready to go on my car but wondered if you knew what nm or ft/lbs they should be torqued up to when fitting into the hub please? K-Tec racing list on their website their own stud conversion kit which they say "Tighten stud into hub to...

    The RR/Targa 197

Fantastic. Hope it works out, as I said I bought a few things from him and he seems a sound guy. Link here if it works: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1767745473527723/posts/3218283821807207

    The RR/Targa 197

Not sure if this is the part you need. Guy on Facebook who've I've bought off is selling lots of parts including this heatshield set. He wants "£10 collected WA16 7AE too fragile to post". His name is Mike Ward and it is in the "Clio Sport Sale & Parts UK" group on FB. I'm guessing you don't...

    Is my budget too low?

I see loads pop up FS on the Facebook groups I'm in. "RS 197/200", "Clio 197/200/200T.net" and "Clio Sport sales & parts UK". https://www.facebook.com/groups/1781255685464253/permalink/3579561242300346/...

Rear brake calipers look great ~ how much was the refurb roughly and did they supply everything like seals/bolts etc?

    GW 200 CUP (clubsport->racecar->v2)

Yep exactly. If you've got the money you can get a built engine with ITB's to around 240-250Bhp but for what that costs it's cheaper to go forced induction or engine swap for bigger numbers.

Is it not best to just put off the mapping till you're ready? Just sometimes rushing to get ready for deadlines can lead to mistakes. Be a shame for something to go wrong on the dyno.

    Fast Road/Track Ultra Red 197

I thought it was for the normal RS seats. Definitely reckon they'd be 20-25kg like you said for sure. Found this thread with a few ideas/bit of info on weight saving: https://clio197.net/threads/weight-saving-ideas.20875/ Another thing to go if you want to save weight is the glass. Either some...

    Fast Road/Track Ultra Red 197

I may have dreamt this but I am sure I read that the seats weigh in at 32kg odd? That maybe including runners too. Love the weight saving as it is a great way to make the car perform better for little or no cost.

Clio 197 Cup - Time Attack Build Progress

Just finished reading start to finish. Glad you didn't sell the car and have continued on your journey with the Clio as it would of been a shame to sell it after all the time spent on it & before getting to run it in a time attack or race. Best of luck. :thumb:
