I would check the wiring to the starter before putting the new fuse in as it might instantly pop again,its a big fuse to blow so might be something obvious to spot,might have had a mice visit when the car wasn't used.

Bingo! That big strip should be 350A and it's for starter, alternator,fuse for main power supply,fuse 2-8 engine compartment.

The big purple is a relay,also check that red cover that goes on the battery there is fuses on there too. I think the whiny noise you hear when ignition on is just the throttle body adjusting which is normal.

Does the engine light come on when you turn the ignition on? Sounds like you have blown a fuse, have you checked all of the ones in the engine bay especially the bigger ones? Take the fuses out and inspect visually you should be able to see if they're blown.

Went to the weighbridge today and came at 1120kg, about 8 liters of fuel. Bit disappointed lol, thought it would be more like around 1080 but I guess even the half cage weighs 15-20kg,more work to do lol,still 160kg lighter from the stock 1280.

Correct torque is 160nm.

Few more jobs to save more weight. Got a smaller race battery,Varley Lithium RT900,only weighs 2,5 kg but has 900 CCA. So saves 11,6 kg. Also fitted Performance Friction 330mm discs,-2.2 kg. Fiberglass passenger door. -24,3 kg but need to add the weight of the wing...

No way that's wear and tear I don't think,there must have been something that weakened both hubs for it to crack, that's pretty worrying,glad you spotted it early.

Thank you guys will just keep an eye on them, certainly don't want to fork out 800£ for replacement discs.

Hi,I have just noticed some small cracks on my Performance Friction discs kit,some of them I can catch my finger nail on,is this okay to drive and just keep an eye on or are they for the bin? they are still well within spec at 27,50mm thickness,thanks for the help.

Oh sorry I thought you meant the front solid mounts,so you just have the rear solid mounts, that's strange...

Quite difficult to not align the rear bushes,they slot in easily where they are supposed to go,as far as I know that's the only two locating points. I would be more inclined into looking at the front ones since you have welded solid mounts,they might not be aligned properly somehow. Have you got...

The left dipped beam stopped working all of the sudden,done some checks with the ballast,power and bulb itself and all was okay,then i had the headlight plugged in while wiggling some relays in the engine bay and sure enough it started working again,cleaned the corroded relay with some sandpaper...
