@Sideshowfred Didn't know about that option, basically a stripped version of a R019. Thanks for the advice ! @j!mbob I used a 25mm2 wire and connected a 150 amp fuse at the battery. The big fuse box is bolted on my V6 Airbox and the Starter fuse in the picture is also bolted on the Airbox

So, preparations have started for the 2020 season. The first thing I wanted to do is putting on scales, to see how heavy she really is and I was really surprised ! With a full Wiechers roll cage, most of the interior plus 20 liters of fuel I got 1184 kg ! I think that's a good figure comparing...

@bedoef Yes it has been a big journey for me, I think I will finish the new axle with the adjustable anti roll bar for next year, just because I can play a little more with the settings with that.

    Milan's Clio 197 Tracktool

Well its time for an update here on my thread : After the disappointing Trackday at Anneau du Rhin I lost motivation for the Clio and the German Time Attack Masters Event came closer and closer. I then said to myself, that I won't drive there since it was not drivable for me and the DZ03G's that...

So finally found some time to update this thread. My previous brake issue was fixed, I just bled the whole system one more time, then I've welded a bung for the second Lambda sensor. After that, I did a wheel alignment with a bit less camber at the rear than in the previous photos : I then...

So, many things happened in the last weeks and I'm really getting close for the first drive. My driveshafts from Rentune finally came and they look amazing, special thanks to Richard for making them so fast for me : I then finally completed the front axle and mounted up my 330mm brakes ...

Got some progress made on the Clio. I relocated the battery to the back, in which I decided to use the existing grommet to go through with the battery cable since I don't have much room to drill with the LHD setup. And it was probably the most frustrating thing I've done on the car. It took me...

    Milan's Clio 197 Tracktool

This weekend I went on to put the rear crankshaft seal that was leaking. I've read that some people put the seal flush to the block, so did I and I regret it because some told me it will most likely leak again when they sit flush. As I am a bit in a hurry, I decided to still assemble the rest of...

    Milan's Clio 197 Tracktool

So in the last weeks, I've been working on the car every weekend and made some progress. I have disassembled my new TL4 gearbox and have fitted my new Gripper diff. Thank god i took photos of the shifting mechanism as this was the most difficult part for me on this operation : After that, I...

    Milan's Clio 197 Tracktool

In the past weeks the progress wasn't really the fastest. It's all a bit step by step due to many reasons : No time, delivery delays and so on. But I did some things. I fitted a Supersprint Y-Pipe on the stock manifold, as I think the Toyosport manifold is a bit risky, and the rest is to...

@Cullen Thanks mate, I got the Cup Racer parts from various places. The subframe is from apmotorsport, the rest are from local Clio Cup teams and some parts are even new from Renault. I've seen that apmotorsport is breaking a Cup Racer so he would be the best option I think.

    Milan's Clio 197 Tracktool

I've made some progress on the Clio the past 2 weekends. My subframe has been painted and I refurbished my steering rack and gave it a new layer of paint. I also drilled 2 holes in the aluminum brace to have access to the dogbone. I sadly only have this pic, because I broke my phone this evening...

The Cup Racer subframe has solid bushes, where stock one has rubber bushes. Its also raised up in the chassis by 4 mm and has other mounts for the front subframe link supports. It is also a little bit strenghtened because of the spherical bearings at the wishbones.

    Milan's Clio 197 Tracktool

Hi all, I've finally decided to make a build thread of my Tracktool project that I been driving since over a year. I will start completely at the beginning : So in January 2018 I've bought myself a Clio 197 that has been advertised for months. It has been used for autocross events here in...
