Big spec 200 Cup *FOR SALE*

Pretty sure the hesitation is normal on the N/A cars when the exhaust is changed. I think no centre silencer causes it. Best way to cure is mapping but your issue could be different to what I’ve read about. My car is turbo so can’t comment much.

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

I’ve also had exactly this on the Reyland two piece kit, not floating type, and DS1.11 I’ve skimmed the face again and bought pagid RS29 pads in the hope all is okay and going to ensure I’ve got more cooling going there but like you the vibrations were unreal almost felt like my rack was coming...

Big spec 200 Cup *FOR SALE*

They have solid mounts in the subframe instead of rubber. Have support bars that go to the bottom of the chassis leg and no rad support going to the subframe which I guess is what you will be doing already. They also have spacers to lift the rack slightly as part of a bump steer kit. I think...

Big spec 200 Cup *FOR SALE*

Looks good mate, lots of bits to keep you busy!! I’m tempted to do the conversion to the rear beam next once I’ve finished the front subframe conversion to cup racer.

Heat up the hub and you can put ball joints in the freezer then they just drop straight in. The bottom ones you use a vice and a socket to push in by using the vice you can feel how much tension you are putting them in under so you know you aren't damaging anything or going at an angle

    197 Cup F4RT track car

Pretty easy I was going to use a ball joint removal tool but these didn’t seem to fit right and didn’t want to damage. Richard advised to use heat, did this and was a doddle. The wheel bearing was harder as needed to cut inner race off as this got stuck on the drive flange. Easy to cut off but...

Yeah bought extended shafts too. Rentune supplied these too and specific to the megane conversion. Brackets are £300 I can’t find anywhere that sells them unless they’re from used cup racers and even then come to over £400 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    197 Cup F4RT track car

So this is the best before and after I can do, but they cleaned up really well, dropped my spare box and gripper diff at Rentune for them to fit the diff and swap the final drive to a lower ratio for hopefully better suited gearings. Should be going from 4.07 to 4.38 so looking forward to seeing...

Tried getting some off it’s a right pain even tried using a wire wheel on drill it just melts and sticks all together so I ended up priming and painting, it’s just to look neater really Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Forged engine parts

Perfect spec mate, no silly power just fast and useable, do you feel you need any more? I’d only forge if anything happens to mine to future proof not to go much more power. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Forged engine parts

If going NA you will get little in the way of performance in a bang per buck case but if going boosted do you really need more than 300 ft lb in a Clio? Sure there will be faster things but that’s always going to be the case. In my eyes the mk3 197/200 has too much grip for the standard engine...

    197 Cup F4RT track car

I emailed them on Sunday and had a reply on Monday confirming they can supply the parts but now awaiting costs, the only issue I can see is the need for longer shafts as with my car having the megane engine and box I cannot just use racer shafts. Looking at A1AXX post they’re 25mm longer and he...

    197 Cup F4RT track car

Hopefully this year we will be able to get out I normally book with open track, have used others but they seem to be really fair and there aren’t too many idiots especially once the morning rush is over. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Removed the suspension today ready to fit new ball joints both uppers weren’t the best and lhf lower was in need of changing but the right lower had very excessive play not sure I can add a video and a bit pointless me adding to YouTube but a photo kind of shows the condition Quite an easy...

    197 Cup F4RT track car

Finished the interior off this week, really happy with how it looks just some small bits left. I bought a bulkhead adapter as it looked too crude before then drilled some carbon sheet to seal off. But now I need to wait for some 90 degree bends to finish this. Also waiting for a switch to turn...

    197 Cup F4RT track car

Been a busy few days, stripping out and tidying then painting the interior, it’s come up really well using only aerosol cans and it really tidies the interior up. Below for comparison, I’ve even got a new drill so even that’s changed [emoji23] I’ve removed the heater most along with most...

    197 Cup F4RT track car

No probs let me know if you need any more advice or photos, treating it as a job in the week Monday to Friday so on it most days. Oh you’ll also notice the hose on top of my thermostat housing because like you I used an earlier 225 engine (from a trophy) the thermostat housing has a outlet...

    197 Cup F4RT track car

Hi mate, just been out to the car to refresh my memory, yeah as Mark said I have used the Clio pipe that usually goes to the drivers side, I used heat and gently bent the pipe to position over to the valve. Here’s a photo not sure it will show to much but may help. Sent from my iPhone...
