Yeah i checked the MoT history, the guy also let me go through all the past receipts, services n MoT's on paper too, there might of been 1 on from a normal service (Can't remember if there was or not) but i think one was also on the MoT history. Ive checked its history on the government mot site...

Does the full MoT history that's not got much advisories and nothing bad on them show previous careful owners making it a winner or is it something to be wary of??

Maybe you could wrap it in some kind of black thermal tape on the affected area, or erm.. Something that won't ignite sort of thing lol. If that does go it would be a big hit in the ole' bank account lol :(

If it isn't the thermo, could try the coolant temp sensor? Maybe wiring has gone a bit sqewy?

I'd get the termostat off n dump It into boiling water to see if it retracts itself, if it does, the thermostat is fine, if it only goes halfway or not at all ya will need a new one. I remember just getting a bog standard one from eurocarparts, worked a treat, tho these parts do have a small...

Could it not be a bad thermostat with the plates/plunger not opening at the correct temperature, it not at all? I'd try removing it and place it in a bowl of boiling water to see if it retracts itself. Is there any leakage from the termostat itself after being on the motorway? Is the...
