Many thanks. I have a manifold flexi to repair/replace so want to sort out the engine mounts beforehand. I know there are a million threads on engine mounts but what is the collective wisdom if I just want to protect the manifold without increasing NVH?

Looks remarkably like Powerflex purple... And the mounting bolts don't align with the factory paint marks. But one of the OEM part numbers on the bracket say "violet" so perhaps it's as standard. What say you? Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk

Had mine checked out today. Only had ~200g of refrigerant so a regas was in order. The garage was surprised that the compressor was still able to kick in. Now runs nice and cold and is *much* quieter. Hopefully the low gas hasn't put too much premature wear on the compressor.

Why didn't I even try that?! My wife's Volvo needs the clutch depressed so it's been confusing us both when jumping between cars. Clutch all the way from now on :) Have not checked the gearbox mount. What am I looking for?

Thanks for the replies! Should have mentioned I have already changed the gearbox oil (Elf NFP). I do usually park with car in gear but didn't like pressing clutch and brake and the same time to start the car so I've stopped doing that... Will have to learn to leave the car parked in the gear...

That's kinda what I meant. You replace the fluid and upgrade the pads only to find that the fluid becomes the weak point and you have to upgrade the fluid (or change it a lot). Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk

Made a schoolboy error when I bought the car and found that I had a whole 2 days left on the MoT. Car has 4 new tyres and no noticeable play in the suspension so wasn't too worried. Booked in for tomorrow. Took it for my first solo drive today and the first time I hit the brakes hard it veered...

Thanks for the info ShantiT The paintwork looks OK to me but there is a slight mismatch between the bumper and the front wings. Wheels are the the original Speedlines as far as I can tell. Thanks for the advice about the brake fluid. I'll be sure to bleed the clutch as well.
