Pictures of your phone mounting solutions

I'm using the Brodit mount that Midri has pictured, but instead of using the phone holder, I've instead mounted a Spigen magnet onto it instead, and just magnetically attach my phone. I've been doing this for years and it means that I can use cases with my phone and the magnet is strong enough...

    Loving my Trophy but.....

Mine does the same, been doing it for ages. I thought I'd fixed it a few months back but it returned! I've been told it's the alarm sounder loose behind the dash. I'm not taking the car in for just a rattle, but when my front tyres need changing I'll ask them to sort it the same time.

    New Gear Lever

I'm sure if would be retrofittable if you were willing to change parts below the lever. I guess it depends how much you want to change it!

    New Gear Lever

I guess it was probably my pic: https://goo.gl/photos/uvyKLbZFXW7wVeFSA It feels very metallic and sturdy and the button has a quality feel to it. I can't really compare it to the old one as I didn't really notice it in the demo car on my test drive.

    200T: BTG8m12s in a CLIO? (2016 Renaultsport Clio 220 Trophy by RentRaceCar)

Coming from a Megane 250, I find the 220 to have a stiffer and tighter (no laughing at the back!) chassis. It seems to absorb bumps at speed better than the Megane, but is more fussy at low speeds. Nice lap to watch though, it's been a long time since I've been to the ring, would love to head...

    Creaks all over!

My Megane 250 creaks a lot. It's not just the Clios!

    Delay in Clio 220 Order

So I was at the dealer yesterday to sort out the finance (we were expecting the car to arrive in the next week or so). Got an email this morning to say it's arrived! Collection booked in for Sunday!

    Delay in Clio 220 Order

Well it shows that if you don't ask you don't get: Spoke to Luke from RUK and the build date has been pulled back to March 16th :)

    Delay in Clio 220 Order

Thanks, sounds like the salesman was a little optimistic to begin with!

    Delay in Clio 220 Order

Just had a call from Renault informing me there's been a delay with the Clio Trophy orders and my original estimate of Feb/March is like to be another two months. The salesman said the actual date Renault have down for delivery by was 28th June (6 months after I ordered the car!), although he...

    Dash Cam

Been using a Blackvue dashcam for a few years after someone drove into my Megane on a roundabout (thankfully they accepted the fault). It's quite nice to have one wired in since you just get in the car and the camera will come on along with the ignition. It's removable too so you can hide it if...

    Torn between Meg R26 & 200T

For what it's worth, I found the 220T just as quiet and refined as my Megane 250 on my test drive of the car. I was actually very surprised at how good the dampening was along the bumpy road too (and how well the Supersport tyres dealt with the standing water on the dual carriageway!). I think...

    Loving the 220 !

I don't think anyone's slating the VXR - just saying it's not very old school. It was probably ahead of it's time with the 1.6l turbo, and I bet it's a great drive with the Drexler LSD. I'm afraid my only problem with the VXR is looks!

    Meanwhile in Finland

I've witnessed -25 and that felt really cold. I can't imagine sitting in a car at -33. It was -4 here this morning and I had to leave the car on for 10 mins to defrost before I sat in it!

Slow speed : parking wheel slip ?

    Happens on my 250 too.

    Loving the 220 !

I think the main difference between the current Clio 200/220 is that it's so much more refined to use every compared to the old one and it's class rivals. It is less raw (I can only base it on my 220 test drive), it felt more like a smaller Megane rather than a fizzy supermini - that's a good...

    Hi all, Clio 220 inbound

Thanks guys! Lovely colour there Ross! I've been toying with the idea of having mine sprayed red to get it to stand out a bit more. It's hilarious how rain affects the speed of a 7 on a track. I did a wet trackday at Pembrey a couple of years back. It was pouring in the morning and I was being...

    Hi all, Clio 220 inbound

Thanks guys. It's always good to hear positive feedback. It's odd how I've only really read positive things about the cars from owners, but the press still seem to be hanging onto the old Clio. I was actually very impressed by the brakes. There's far more initial bite than the Megane (larger...

    Hi all, Clio 220 inbound

Hi all, I'm finally exchanging my Megane 250 Cup for a Clio Trophy after over 5 years of ownership! It's been a fantastic car, but I was itching for something different and with a few big bills due over the next few months/year (pads and discs all round, cambelt and a few other things) I...
