    Two in Lanzarote

Saw a Nimbus R27 in or around Mancha Blanca (I think) and a LY R27 in Teguise. Very jealous, some of the roads there are incredible. Well, I can only image so - I was in a hired Fiat 500 1.2 that struggled with any sort of incline!

    200 cup alloys

I'm a bit biased because it's how mine is, but I think it'd look really smart on the original Raiders and without the Cup spoiler. If you have the Cup spoiler I think you've just got to go all out and get the skirts and splitter too. The Cup alloys painted matte black would look awesome if you...

Autocar now has a review up of the new Clio Trophy

Drove around Doncaster and out on the dual carriageways towards the M18 in all three modes. Full auto was actually really nice for pootling around. But even in race it seemed far too unresponsive. I know it's faster than you could ever change in a manual, but it was just that disconnect between...

Autocar now has a review up of the new Clio Trophy

There's no doubt they're fast. The hydraulic bump stops make the ride very refined on potholed town roads (the closest I got to a typical B road on my test drive of a 200T). But that box! It's ironic that they've tried to go for a more mass market specification when the target market would never...

    GoodYear Eagle F1

Give Renault Wolverhampton parts a ring, sorted me out with rear discs and pads as a package deal for £205 delivered with forum discount.

    GoodYear Eagle F1

I wouldn't let Kwik Fit go anywhere near the front brakes on these. They'll just make a complete mess. And I certainly wouldn't take their advice over that of two garages and a dealer... You have made me worried though as I have noticed a very small, quiet creak when starting to reverse, and an...

    Rant

For me, it's not often that I get much bother in the Clio. I tend to just stick the cruise control on at the speed limit and not let those behind bother me. If they want to drive close, then fine. If they get too close, I'll slow down a bit so if I need to stop, their lack of stopping distance...

    Engine noise issue

Could you do a video of the noise and upload it? Also, what is the gap between the wuh sounds? Is it like "wuh", 2, 3, 4, "wuh", 2, 3, 4? If so, I remember reading somewhere what that is (a valve or diaphragm somewhere). I'll try and remember what exactly it is.

    Check injection/check ESP

I have had this over the past few months. Took it to Diamond Motors and did some investigation and data logging with Mick there. The key thing to do is get the fault codes read on a CLIP computer. Mine turned out to have an injection ECU internal fault logged (DF038 1.DEF). This fault is not...

    Black 200T on A616

Spotted just before the bridge under the A629, I was in my blue 197. I think it's the first 200T I've seen that wasn't at a forum meet up!

    Engine movement

montana yeah, those are the parts I got from Renault Wolverhampton on here, those were those prices at the time. The engine was gradually moving back and forth more and more under full bore gearchanges, and it turns out that I only checked the manifold flange after it was too late. In...

    Engine movement

This is what broke my manifold. I'd recommend getting the upper stabiliser (8200298484, £42) and the lower torque link (8200042454, £54) replaced asap. I'd also make sure you haven't got any evidence of soot on the join between the manifold tubes and the flange - if you do it's broken. This is...

Bloody thing. £***0 for a clutch fluid leak.

Just a thought: give RS Tuning a ring and see if they'd be able to do the job at the same time as (presumably) your remap? I can't believe it's 9 hours' labour for all that.

    #Trophy save the date

I fear my 197's days are numbered if it's a 200T with more power and a manual 'box. So I suspect that in reality my 197 will be sleeping soundly!

Check Injectors and ESP warning light ON.

Funnily enough I had this just at the start of the year when we had a load of snow. Ended up having it plugged into a CLIP and the fault codes read. There were saved faults from the injection ECU and the ESP system, looked them up and the first was internal ECU fault, and the second was the ESP...

    Clio 200 Spark Plugs

Yep, 8200492426 is the right code. I just ordered some myself from http://www.vospers.com/parts/renault/genuine-renault-clio-197-megane-sport-spark-plugs-x4-new-8200492426.html - a little cheaper.

    Ktec mani !!!!

Hmmm, not sure whether I would have gone with this or the Toyosports when mine fell apart. For a "proper" job (manifold, new torque link and stabiliser, labour and RS Tuning remap) it comes out at about £1k. This would be another £400 over that. Comparing the primaries on the K-Tec to the...

Toyosports Exhaust Manifold - performance wise

Looking at other print outs from the RR printout thread, it looks to vary over that rpm range between 12.5:1 and 13:1 or lambda 0.85 to 0.88. In retrospect it was bloody awful driving it before the map. It's made a huge difference to driveability and refinement - it feels OEM now. The thing...

Toyosports Exhaust Manifold - performance wise

Oh yeah it's like having another engine strapped on between 2,500-300rpm! For normal driving it's really nice now, much more driveable out of second gear corners for example. And yeah it's just got the ITG panel filter and the Toyosports manifold. Like I said, I'd be interested to see what Paul...
