Paint & Body shop recommendation Bristol

After only a thousand miles on the autoroutes of France and a small altercation with some solid hay block at Blyton Park my front bumper was left looking like this :( 95547[/ATTACH]|http://thumbsnap.com/Z68PoNk7"]|http://thumbsnap.com/Z68PoNk7...

Mate had a cs sensor go on his too. Although if this goes it does normally mean the engine won't start altogether. Has it fixed it?

Alfa 147 GTA vs Clio 197 vs Celica VVT-i Review

Cheers Gents. I did take the GTA out for a spin on the Crickhowel Pass in terrible conditions but observed a few things. - Q2 LSD is REALLY good at putting the grunt down. No tram-ling or ducking and diving. - The 3.2 Busso V6 really is that good. Pulls hard to it's stop at around 68-900rpm...

Alfa 147 GTA vs Clio 197 vs Celica VVT-i Review

Thought I'd use this to plug and get general thoughts and comments on our recent group test (dicking around in Wales with some mates) video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4b1s01Tyn4

    New aircon condenser

Get a refurbed compressor off ebay for £110. Remove front bumper, slacken off the aux belt, replace compressor. Really simple job - 1.5 hours max for a novice like me. The Aircon is known to be rubbish in these things.

Baby on the way - Do I really need to can the 197?

Thanks chaps. The Clio stays put. Buying another car seems a much more sensible option so a Passat estate can come in near due date. job jobbed.

Baby on the way - Do I really need to can the 197?

As above. Be good to hear from any dads/mums that use one of these as a family wagon for a nipper. You hardly need the space when they're that small surely!? Not ready to give up the Clio yet...

    Headlight Fuse

Hi I've changed my H7 headlamp bulb and now the front OS light cluster has stopped working. I think it may be a fuse as I ran the car without a bulb in for a bit as I'd bought the wrong one! I've now got acess to the fuse box to the right of the battery but there is no fuse diagram. Can...

    Girl friends new toy

Welcome. M3 Estoril Blue is my favourite colour. Do you have a build thread somewhere? I'd keep the rear wiper - useful in this weather if she drives on motorway at all.

    For all those confused

According to the back pages of EVO 0-60 in 6.6 seconds is for the 1204KG 200 cup only. Interestingly 36kg lighter than the 197 Cup. 0-100 in 16.7 stands out for me too.

    Wheel Alignment with EPAS

If you give lee at FCM wheel alignment Bristol a call he's a nice enough guy and a bad businessman to recommend you a local specialist. He really knows his stuff.

197 insurance - losing the will!

I've got exactly the same circumstances as you in terms of age, car and NCB (although it sound's like I'm in a less risky postcode) and mine is £560 with Sky Insurance (brokers) Underwritten by Ageas. Fully Comp, Mods Declared (minor) Keith Michael, Greenlight and Adrian Flux (once I told them I...

    Out on Track (Cadwell Park)

Looks brilliant. Black is impossible to photograph like that so hats off to the photographer. Also love Cadwell, great track day track as it's so narrow. Done it in a less powerful car and turn one (left) is pretty epic. Does the Clio take it flat out in the dry? Also would be interested to know...

Wheel refurb starting to deteriorate already

If they did a really poor job on your front calipers with the fluid change you could technically get leverage to just the outer bleed nipple when it's jacked up, there is one on the inside too being 4 pot fronts

    Tracking Out

As above. Get it to a proper specialist if these guys keep messing you around. It's a myth that UK cars should pull left created by the Kwik fits of this world that can't get cars to drive straight. Mine used to pull left and now pulls totally straight on an uncambered road, bit far from you but...
