Agree with you there r32 is a very capable motor and sounds wicked and would probably be awesome on the road up your neck of the woods, I just find that the are very expensive but then you pay for quality..I sold an 07 megane r26 and for same money got an 05 golf gti so they do hold there value...

I know where your coming from, I to had the same thing although in between I had an r26, now driving a golf gti which is just great 5yrs old and still solid feel great comfy seats and still handles and drives very well, however last couple of days I miss the 197 haven't put my finger on it yet...

Have to disagree with you Robo, the 225 and R26 are completely different cars and the R26 is just a chuckable as the 197 if not better IMO. Russ for me it has to be LY its the only colour to have IMO

Had my 197 for 2 years and never had any reliability issues with it at all. Most common is kangarooing just leave car running for 5-10mins before journey and it wont happen and recaro seat wear just buy seat covers to protect them.

Not being funny mate but alot of those cars are in same area and could be targeted by gangs of thieves. Ones of those is an r26r and can quite easily be broken into with a stanley knife.

That seems to be a very extreme case and there is not really that kind of thing going on around here. As for insurance it's only costing me extra £24 to change up to it and £15 of that is amendment fee.. Will hopefully still be hanging around on here coz it's a good place to be and a good site...

To Make a replica R27 is very simple all it required was a ff 197 with recaros, cup pack and maybe climate control and its virtually same spec. Could be one of these but also could have been sold to the previous owner as an R27 so maybe not his fault.
