Hi all Does anyone know if a secondhand body control ECU from eBay will work with my car? Year and model is correct, but are these things programmed to a particular chassis number? Cheers

That's the thing. All French cars seem to get bad press over their interiors when there's nothing wrong with them! My mate's just bought some Suzuki thing and the "quality" of the plastic in it (no joke...) makes a Clio look like a Maybach.

Interesting. So is the ECU just cutting everything back until the thermostat opens then? Presume it's designed that way to protect the engine? Just so sooo annoying. I have a 406 Coupé V6 too, and all 210 horses are available and raring to go from cold :-D

I'd really like to come to a meet and see how good these systems are. I went for a K-Tec in the end. It's excellent, sounds like a racing car, pops and burbles and is just ACE. Thing is it was half the price of an Akra.......

Not forgotten about this, I'll PM Paul the Mod and see what we can work out.

The exhaust is significantly lighter than the standard one. I held both back boxes up and couldn't believe it!
