The reason your deal was so good, as was mine and many other people on this forum, was due to the contribution renault finance were making. I think it was in the region of £3k. I don't think this has been available for some time.

You paid via PayPal, you therefore have the protection and peace of mind that PayPal offers. I wouldn't worry in the slightest as PayPal generally favour the buyer and screw the seller. In this case it would be entirely justified.

Can you expand on the difficulties you experienced with the PCP and private sale please?

It won't accept my 200 reg or VIN. I sent an email to Renault about this as I was offered VIP WSR tickets due to my 200 but can't see how they would be linked if my car wasn't in the garage? Surprise surprise, they never got back to me.

Just thought I'd provide an update, I got 2 quotes today for £225 and £220. Not as bad as I had first feared. They will both spray the entire wing and blend the paint under the front bumper.

£174 PCM sounds cheap but how can we advise you without knowing the full terms of the deal? If it's over 30000 months and it has a large balloon payment at the end then it's not cheap and won't offer you any savings over the 200.

If I see a Twingo RS133 I think "Oh that's cool, another Renaultsport". Would I want to own one? No. Realistically how much are you going to save? Seems a waste of time really.
