    Exhaust started to get hot hot hot and engine seems to be running warmer than usual

    Hook the plugs out and compare them.. Look for any signs of det. As mentioned above that'll put your exhaust temps up. Does it pull okay??

    You could always take the gauge pod apart and paint over the LEDs as a worst case scenario

    Depends how it's wired up, if your using standalone/piggyback to run ignition, injection etc then without serial bus you'll always get lights

    Knock sensor unlikely due to how it works.. Lambda could as it will effect fuel trim but this would be obvious if you data log/obd tool. Does it misfire when cold?

    Have you tried running it on idle with one could disconnected at a time? See if removing power from one makes no difference ie a dud

    Just commented on another thread with the same. Mine always ran a low setting on the fan from when it warmed up.. Also had the electric water pump on constantly

    Fan should be running on low setting as soon as it's warm for turbo setups. High setting when toasty

    NGK BKR7EIX are the direct swap iridiums but I don't have experience of these with a NA engine

    Both are great options, just depends what sort of roads you normally drive.. If motorway and dual carriageway def Meg box.. A's and B's clio box

    More likely to be BE bearing failure as the loading is shared on main bearings and they are larger anyway
