Got spacers fitted. Now for springs!

Guys,

The time has finally come. Managed to get some spacers and thought I'd throw them on just to see what they look like and I'm now never taking them off!

I'm just worried now that the H&R 30mm front and 40mm back drop may be too low?

The tyres are continental sport 215/45 /R17

I know people have ran these before all over the show but to me it look like it would be close with the tyre?

I know there's enough room there for the drop but is the suspension strong/stiff enough to keep it off the car?

Here's a few snaps anyway of the width comparisons

Here's some pics to TRY and show what I mean but it's hard obviously with angles etc lol

I'll be selling my Grams springs over the next week or two mate. I'm buying coilovers to replace them! Springs have covered less than 50milea since I've fitted them.

I’ll have my car back this week with H&R springs fitted and the same tyres. I’ll put some images on here for you.

I won’t be putting spacers on however and if I do it’ll be the same spec as the cup racers only.

Does look good tho

Yeah I'm contemplating doing the cup look (10mm axle spacer and 5mm from spacers), but I want to know how it would look without lowering, coz I don't want to give up the ride haha

I will also be trying some 5mm spacers as I have a set in my tool box at work and can add em and take em off for nowt, fitted the ten mm rear stub axle spacers the other week  I’ll take you a pic and put it in my progress thread

I have the h&r 30/40mm springs on mine with 20mm spacers all round (Which i'm contemplating removing after seeing so many people saying it ruins handling)

But besides that i have no issues at all. Sits really well too which is why i kinda don't wanna remove them! haha.

running 215/45/17 pilot sport 4 tyres.

Sound, will be interested to see how that sits. Can you remember where you got them from?

They aren’t the ones I fitted, wouldn’t fit 10mm normal spacers as they won’t be hun centric and the wheel will lose most of its support from the hub centre!, they load up the wheel bearings as any spacer does, I fitted the stub axle 10mm spacers from pure motorsport which space the entire hub/caliper etc out and don’t stress the wheel bearing anymore

Do you have a link fella?
