all of you must know me through the raider,

well we've added another special edition to our fleet

Renault Sport Megane Trophy #434

Picked the car up on monday from Tom at Divine Automotive in Harrogate, genuine guy and very honest, got the car for a very good price too,

about the Trophy,

#434
i.d. Arctic White
Alcantara Seats & Steering Wheel
Akrapovic
Ohlin Coilovers
Folding Heated Mirrors
19" Speedline Turinis
Michelin Pilot Super Sport
EBC Yellow Stuff Pads
26,000 Miles

Every thing else completely standard,

List of things to come,
New brake calipers, current ones have a snapped bleed nipple and the last owner hasn't been too careful with a punch on the last set,

Far cheaper to buy new and sell my old ones than get a refurb,

Braided Lines
Better Pads
Brake Fluid
Michelin Pilot Super Sports for the rear
Private Reg & Clean Plates

Hopefully Some ore pictures and progress coming soon, new calipers should be here early next week

Very nice Glenn!
I remember looking at this on PistonHeads or AutoTrader recently. I believe this is the second time they’ve sold it with the previous owner not having used it a great deal, and was going for a good price too.
Having seen a few of these in the flesh now, this is the car to have, great spec and a sound investment.
The only thing I’d be doing for now is removing those horrendous pads!
Enjoy!

Yeah it was on piston heads, I seen it and had to have it, I got a very substantial chunk of money of the asking price too, probably got one of the cheapest in the UK,

Yeah they really are a great spec, I’m a sucker for a top spec limited edition

Yeah they are certainly on the list don’t know how my post is showing up, but I did mention it, but my Tapatalk is ruining the post, but it’s fine on web view ?

Yeah weird, I didn't see all that on Tapatalk.
I always think these need a 3/4 plate at the front too, as it sits a bit too high and ruins the lines a bit. Massive fan of the Turini's too, and the Recaro's are the best they've ever done.

I think its the Euro sticker on the plate.
mine doesnt bother me now its pressed.

Yeah the plates are due to be done, i hate GB plates and i especially hate screwed on ones, looks so shit, may have a private plate by christmas, but will get some clean ones fo now

Waiting on a 6 piece set of transparent red braided brake lines from Mitch at proline motorsport and a shipment of Motul RBF 660

Also debadaged the back end, makes it look a lot cleaner, black badges will be coming

Fitted my new Brembo Calipers with the braided lines and a full motul RBF660 flush, brakes feel great only thing letting it down is the pads, they are alright at the minute as only done a couple of hundred miles of mundane driving, will be changed in the near future

Up next 2 new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S Tyres for the rear, the car is going into Renault on Thursday for 2 new bottom Arms as there is play in the ball joints and as we know renault replace the full lot not just the ball joints,

Also will getting two new headlights on Thursday as the previous owner was not very careful when removing them breaking the clips making them rattle like mad when driving at night

i know youre a ds1.1 man but pfzs might be a good shout, use them on mine and great on track. Few boys who have had laps can vouch for that. only a 100pound too from kamracing.

I am open to suggestions for pads, realistically the car is only going to get used on the road so don’t need nothing overly aggressive, I mean the car will see it’s fair share of hard B road driving but imagine anything ds2500-3000equivalent I would be happy with, I’m aware the DS Range is getting on abit now and there may be more up to date compounds out there

I’m unsure what to do about the suspension as it has the factory ohlins on but they aren’t height adjustable, the do accept standard cup damper springs, so I could put a set of lowering springs on but don’t want it to ruin the handling

Yeah they are nice cars, just a shame the look like a transit inside
