197 Cup F4RT track car

Getting there now, Did you manage to fit the new clutch? Or are you still trying with the original?

haave you thought of fitting a short shifter to see if it solves your issue??i know a bit expensive but may be worth a try if nothing else works..
glad you can see the finish line..fingers crossed m0134.gif

Yeah very close, I’m currently still using the clutch I fitted when building, but I’m confident this will work now and just needs a final bleed.

Already have a short shifter fitted luckily it came on the r26 gearbox so saved some money there.

Just a little thought on my issue now my clutch isn’t dragging it cannot be air as I can get all the other gears, I have 225 ph1 cables fitted to a r26 gearbox that has short shift so I guess the cables will need adjusting.

Anyone know how these are adjusted?

Also bought some cup racer wheels and slicks for the track days which should make it interesting. Wanted to try slicks for some time so hopefully they work well with the set up need a refurb mind

sorry you are still having issues..my mechanic could have a look if you are not far from Manchester...

Nah it’s cool mate just trying different options I’m not so familiar in working with fwd cars which is normally a good thing, but means I’m a little outside my comfort zone when it comes to my own cars with certain jobs, anyway...

Cars now gone for an exhaust 3” system with one exit then mapping and can drive it to a ramp at my work and sort clutch issue as it’s a pain in the ass on the ground if it needs to come out.

I’m trying to book efi for mapping but can’t find a number for them and also no reply from an email I sent so it’s a little hard to see when I can book in

Are you local to Manchester? Would love to have a look at a completed one before I start mine. I bought Tom B's 225 engine.

Chris doesn't answer emails on Thursdays and Fridays, not even sure he answers the phone. He's so busy with the rolling road.

He’s replied to me today so all being well I’ll be there 14th June

Hi Gaz. I see you made it over onto the forum then. Shame I didn't know you were interested in seeing one as @Pav was around mine yesterday in his boosted one. You going to be documenting the conversion on here?

Some updates, a slightly odd one too.

So the Clio is back from having the exhaust done at DKU performance, it’s a guy I know through a friend and I’m really happy with the work that’s gone into it and sound of the exhaust and was at a very good price with some additional v bands put in should I need extra silencers. They really have gone the extra mile with it. Also got it on the ramp just to show me what they’ve done but for some reason I didn’t take a photo, I’ll add some photos when I can get it on a ramp at my work but for now see below.

I went for, possibly controversially, a single exit system as I don’t see the point of extra weight just to have dual exit

And I’ve also bought a new daily for my motorway journey to work and back, a one owner 2005 s60 with the 2.5l 5cyl engine. It’s a manual with only 48k on it and full Volvo service history.

More good news today, going great this, my dash has come up with an error. “Check Injection” no engine light just states check injection and goes into limp mode. It did this before taking it to get the exhaust done but ignition cycle sorted it and exhaust place is a around a mile away so just took it steady.

I’ve looked on here and Pav looks to have had this issue too and was a faulty ecu I’m really hoping this isn’t from the immobiliser chip change as I wasn’t completely happy with the wiring work carried out.

Only have a cheap code reader here and that says nothing, I was hoping to read intake temps or the like but nothing on there for accurate data really.

No faults come up even though it’s in limp
Mode but that’s Renault for you [emoji23] it could just be mapping I guess but that would surprise me with my current luck
