Lotus Exige

this thing should be at spa 4th april ...

One day mate. I've got a lot to do before then. A gearbox oil cooler and suspension at the very least. It's not really as track ready as you'd think.

My main problem is if I start tracking it now, I'll never get around to doing all the other bits I want to do. So they'll come first, and then I'll get the track mods done and then in a few years I'll be spending all my mod money on track time. But it needs to go that way as if I start tracking it now the pretty bits will never happen!

yeah, fully understand. i went the other opposite direction with the clio. the last three years, my mod money was spent on track time. hope to do suspension and diff later this year or early 2019.

I just know myself mate. The moment I get this on track all my thoughts about visual mods will go out the window and then I'm into the never ending pit of despair that is track mods. It's the only way, pretty stuff first, then aero, then track mods. Few years off yet I reckon but once I'm done it means all my money can go towards track time and track focused parts.

So, wheels. I've been doing some mockups and I think I'm gravitating towards the RZ39.

Figured it was worth seeing if any of you guys had any thoughts...

Click / tap the image for a full view (of how sketchy my mock up is! )

Thanks for being my sanity check / support group guys

Pav, I'm really not a fan of the existing wheels, plus they're cast so they're HEAVY. New ones will be forged so significantly lighter and, in my opinion, much better looking.

Peter, some of that is down to my dodgy mockup, I couldn't find a photo at the correct angle I needed for the front so I had to use one a little more flat on and then squash it to work with the image I was using. It shouldn't look quite so flat in reality. But I will be going for a staggered look, so no concave at the front and then as much as I can (admittedly not much) at the rear.

Cheers guys :thumb:

Another vote for the RZ10 from me, although a quick look on the website the KL13 look good too. Not sure what the lettering equates to.

What can I say, I'm seriously jealous, can only dream of owning something like this in the next 10 years. After weeks of being flat out, I've finally had a chance to sit down and read right through this, absolute credit to you Mes. RZ10 for me too!

RZ10 for me. Sorry Mes. But you asked the question. And we all collectively disagreed with you ! lmao

To be fair it's like asking which G-String, basque and suspender set Jennifer Lawrence, Julianne Hough, Amber Heard etc etc would look better in.......... :tonguewink:

Guys, your thoughts are appreciated, thanks a lot. Looks like RZ10 is the overwhelming majority's preference. Argh! You guys might be swaying me!

Sean, dish is going to be minimal as the offset doesn't allow for much sadly. I'd love proper dished rears as it really accentuates the rear end, but such is life. I like the staggered look so I'll get as much dish as I can get away with. I'm going to gain a full inch of width too so that will help.

Juk3sy, there are litterally LOADS of designs I love from them, problem is, the Lotus only has 17" fronts so that limits me to the RS & RZ series only.

Benno, mate, find a Mrs with a very good job and don't have kids. You'll be fine!

Shuv, HILARIOUS analogy!!!
