Petrol flap

Hi all.
Recently realised my petrol flap doesn't lock when car is locked.i can see where it should be working but nothing happens.i believe that rear quarter has been replaced or worked on in the past so may have not been put back right or it' just failed.is there a part number for the little locking device and can I access/replace this through side panel in boot?
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated

Mine failed to open last week, and I was off to Cornwall for urgent meeting and needed to fill up with the go juice urgently. Quick visit to my friendly garage who managed to break the flap off and then gain access to the motor/solinod. I didnt have time to go in through the boot etc I needed a quick fix. It was seized and needed replacement, quick bodge ment I could be on my way to Cornwall after filling up at garage. Car booked in for Friday to replace motor and fit a new flap. Apparently the spine of motor/solinod needs oiling regularly. Didnt know that.

Bought my car with the fuel cap solenoid broken causing the alarm to go off every time the car was locked.

Really simple fix if you just need to replace the motor. DIY job.

First you need the new part that looks like this:

Can buy it from here: https://www.renaultpartsdirect.co.u...clio-197-200-modus-scenic-fuel-flap-solenoid/

Then go into the boot, unclip the seal that goes round the hatch and unclip the plastic pannels on the right. You will be able to see the seatbelt mechanism and behind that is the solenoid. Takes a bit of wiggling to get out and replace with the new one but easy once you get the hang of it...

Don't have pics on me atm but if you really need them let me know and I'll try to get some...
