Lights

Sorry if these are over asked questions but I'm struggling to find good lights to buy.

First off, should I be buying these...

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007OYVJO6/?tag=clio197-21

OR, silvervisions to get rid of the fried eggs?

Second, one of my number plate bulbs has gone so looking for a good replacement.
Whilst I'm at it I want to do the interior lights as well so any links or suggestions, led sizes would be much appreciated!

Probably after LEDs since I see most of you have them.

Thanks.

How are they, bright for the sidelights? Think ill give them a go tbh, makes my life a lot easier thanks

I have the Osram Diadem Chrome in my 197, I also have Osram LEDriving Sidelights.

Your number plate bulbs should be 501 style or W5W in other words. This is the same as all your interior bulbs and also your front sidelights. I've been very happy with the bulbs and would happily recommend them to you, the sidelights especially are great, very bright and have a 6 year guarantee as on the packet!IMG_20170210_162749.jpg IMG_20180212_181030.jpg

They look great...going to go with diadem's then and will upgrade the sidelights if the ones in the pack Sean suggested aren't up to the job. thanks mate

I've had multiple disappointing experiences now with just about anything from OSRAM. Got through 2-3 sets of their LED Side lights and 2 sets of their dipped beam bulbs before making the change to the Phillips range. They just didn't last long enough and with how awkward the bulbs are to change in the Clio, changing bulbs every 6 months was unacceptable.

The Philips Silver Vision bulbs have lasted 3 years without needing replacement and the 'Xtreme Visions' are still going strong.

The Parts-u-Like LED bulbs for interior/numberplate/door puddle lights have all been faultless too.

Glad to hear the partsulike Led's are good, I've ordered the premium pack to do inside and out. I've just managed to find the Phillips silver visions for £13, only £3 more than the osrams so maybe I'll go with them after what you've said

The LED's in that pack are seriously bright! Nice crisp whiter than white light, make for hell of an upgrade on the standard interior bulbs and also plenty bright enough for your reg bulbs and front side lights, you won't be disappointed
Anything Philips for your dipped and main beam bulbs are a winner (as above) And any chrome plated indicator bulb will do its job sufficiently and give a much more clean looking finish

Fair enough on the comments with Osram, certainly I would agree with the lifetime on dipped beam bulbs, I sell them on a daily basis so I know their lifetime. I've always had a good experience with the Osram LED bulbs and almost no customers have troubles with them but they do occasionally fail.

I'm a bit lucky on the basis I can switch them over as many times as a like with no aggravation!
