Removing swivels

Looking to replace a set of swivels from hubs soon.
Wondered how people have gone about removing them. Obviously plenty of heat around the ball joint.
Have people pressed them out?
If so have you got any photos how you went about it?
Might have to adjust the bed on my hydraulic press to fit the hub in the middle of it.
Or have people gone down the process of plenty of heat and knocking them out the old fashioned way?
Interested to see what others have done before I start.

Tom you on about the upper ball joint ? I tried some head and knocking it out, it moved a bit then stuck, in the end took them to SWR who pressed them out.

The lower one on the swivel hub mate. Should be easy to do, just going to make up the kit so I can press it out. Always interesting to see how others have done it rather than trying to reinvent the wheel.

I would also get those ball joint splitters from Machine Mart. Saves a lot of hassle splitting the top ball joint and the other lower one on the wishbone.

Made up some tools in work for doing this job. Worked out perfectly in the end. Swivels replaced and also the wish bone ball joints. This was all on my friends car not my own though.
