Hi London remapping

Hi just rought my first hot hatch a Clio 197 at the grand old age of 49 and I love driving it. It seems a great car low mileage all original but it seems to suffer from the kngarooing o would a remap work anybody recommend someone in london? Or how about the software downloads from fastchip? I am old school from the days of carberettors and screwdrivers and not sure I wouldn' Ruin the car. I am not really looking for increase bhp but rather just make it as drivable as possible.

Many thanks
Chris

Are you planning any future upgrades I.e. exhaust / induction kit ? If you are maybe get them done first.

As for mapping I would drive to RST or EFI (both not local). There’s also Ktec (I’ve not used these) that are closer

Hi Chris
I've not used them myself living in Scotland, but Engine Dynamics in Essex have a great reputation with the boys on here. Good to see another one of us older guys having a mid life crisis hot hatch! I got my Clio in 2014 at the age of 53. Love it to bits!

As Paul and Johnny have said, do all the mods first, then take it for a remap to Andy at Engine Dynamics - will vastly improve the way it drives and hopefully cure the kangarooing.
PS welcome!

Hello and welcome along.....enjoy the car (once remapped) BTW Im 58 just goes to prove we over 50's know how to have a good time.

Hi Chris, welcome to the forum!

A quick fix for the kangarooing is to let the engine warm up for a minute or two before driving off. This works wonders for me - apologies if you already do this, but I thought I'd throw it out there!

Hi Chris. A remap at ED will sort 99% of your issues and make the car feel much more sprightly. Good luck
