Radiator Support Bracket

Does anyone know why the standard radiator support bracket goes back to meet the subframe but the clio cup racer support bracket does not?

If you replace the support bracket with the clio cup racer bracket or chop off the 2 arms going back to meet the subframe what are you missing? (Nothing that I can see)

I'm of the same impression as you, no major loss. Without looking maybe fixture points for the bumper undertray and wheel arch liners.

I know it looks so wrong that's the way mine is the pin sits centred in hole opposite but not touching.

I’d think that’s so that in a crash the bumper support will go against the subframe and not try to go over or under it.

I’ve removed the legs off mine so I just have the support bar at the front.
