Big Bens non Clio

i always leave my car in gear when parked up..never use a handbrake..one of the things my dad told me to avoid..guess what, never had any issues with any of my cars...
My manager did this as his car was an auto, left it in park, (Renault 19, it was that long ago!) & his car failed MOT as handbrake was seized through lack of use.

sometimes the rears are over adjusted on the cables rather than setting/checking etc then adjusting them ie the handbrake levers on the calipers are not allowed to go fully back hence causing issues/running clearance...

i always found doing them once a year around march/april would be ok

Good to see you again ben... let me know next time you're heading there, i'm only round the corner. Fingers crossed the heater will be working next time we're there!

Brakes all sorted. Beaniesport were brilliant as always. Nice to catch up with @MrWid
Calipers are pretty dirty, so that may well be my next decent size project after xmas.

Great to see Ben, colour coded hoses look spot on!

what discs are they???

Brembo HC (09890411) with the black coating if I'm not mistaken!? HC discs part number with no coating are 09890410 I'm pretty sure.

Woo 1k posts!:drunk:

Keep us updated with how it feels with the braided hoses, something I wouldn't mind putting on mine at some point!

you wont see much of a difference Chris but it's the feeling inside of feeling more safe when braking hard...

Everything good Pav. Brembo HC discs with UV coating from Kamracing. Good idea to wrap the servo!

Yeah nice to catch up Andy. Was a bit nippy you’re right! McDonald’s hit the spot...

Will do mate. Early impressions are good but will need to let the brakes settle before I really get into them!

Itching to get the car out (it’s only been 4 days!)
Sadly just ticked her over, gave it a QD and put her away again. Hopefully Sunday will be dry and clear so I can go for a ride:thumb:

Lots of ideas bouncing around my head for upgrades in the new year:

2nd set of dedicated track wheels.
Rear seat removal, ktec carpet and rear brace (clubsport look!).
Different Brake Pads.
And a few other bits....

Maintenance still remains paramount as I’m likely to be doing a good few track days. So budget on new bits will have to be balanced accordingly!

Roll on springtime:sunglasses:

Renault wheels or something aftermarket for track wheels Ben? Still can't make my mind up which set of wheels to change the colour of!
