Basically an app controlled smart thermostat to control house temperature.

Nest learns your preferences for heating etc so it needs to to learn these but well worth it. They dont work on some systems but if you have a condensing boiler be it combi or a system type boiler you will be fine .

I’ve got one, would recommend

You set a schedule then it learns and fine tunes the schedule over time

Feel free to ask any questions - we have had ours about 3 years

I've been looking at the smoke alarm/ carbon monoxide monitor by nest purely because if the look of it but been put of by some pretty bad reviews :-(

Is it week by week - as with me, doing shifts its different each week.

can it work with ac systems?(cold)
or its only for heating system?

Yeah it works with AC too. For our American friends who have AC in the Summer and Heating in the winter.

I had one for a while and got rid as I was convinced it wasn't doing anything.

I even set fire to some paper in the back garden and held it right over the fire and it did nothing.

Thats not good...

Although to be fair with your paranoia, I don't think they are supposed to do anything unless there is actually danger lol..
