200: Brake Caliper colour opinions?

I was considering orange. Thing is I'm very fussy as I say. I would like any of the following: yellow, gold, green, purple or blue.

Problem being, I want specific shades of each and I would surely need a heatproof pain? Which will limit my search quite a bit you'd think

Here's a few pics of ones I like....

Really like this colour

And the obvious choice was white with black brembo sprayed on but surely that's an absolute nightmare to keep clean!

Not sure if it's yellow or a golden colour but looks well

Mine are are in the bodyshop as we speak in Acid Green, my car is white. Hopefully back on Friday and I will ceramic coat them and hopefully have it back on the road on Saturday so will post some photos.

Look forward to seeing it!

Might have to crack out the photoshop again and play around with a pic of my car and different colour calipers

If you want a great gold/Orange I'd look at VHT burnt copper, one of the nicest colours ive ever done on a set of calipers, they near looked anodised when painted, prep is the key and the calipers need to be brought back to metal and you need to lacquer them with the VHT clear to make them really pop.

If I had a white car that's what I'd be spraying them with, on the colour shade thing, a lot of the calipers that are sprayed are just sprayed with non high temp paint and they look lovely in the pics as they have just been put back on the car, it all depends on the way you drive, possibly get away with it for a bit but the will so look like nothing, specific high temp paint is a must, might be possible to get something mixed but I'd say it would be expensive!

I contacted BCS about a full set in liquid yellow last year, referb with new seals only (pistons were extra) was around £650! Apart from the colour change, it's hard to give more money for a refurb than you could get a full new set of calipers for!

I'm just going to get get the paint of them (as I like the Porsche yellow shade) and do my own as I have a compressor and spray gun etc.

Ps that price of the scooby is burnt copper on the nail!

In terms of what paint to use, I've heard most people say hammerite is good enough for calipers. I've got a can of it I'm planning on using for mine when I have the time...

Its ok but if you want a professional finish they have to be sprayed With a high temp paint, I hammerited plenty when I was young and they looked ok (have to stress this was the brush version) but I'd never think of it now, if your going to go to the hassle of painting and masking them up just get some high temp coloured spray at least, it will give you a better finish than hammerite at the end of the day

Best advice I can give is, you your just going to wire brush the rough off and paint, then Hammerite is ok, any more prep and I'd spray them

Think most use hammerite as they more than likely have a tin about the garage and it helps stop rust!

The hammerite is in a spray can

Up to you bud, is the spray heat resistant? Don't know tbh, haven't used it since I used to paint it on.

Prob ok if your not tracking it, if you are it will prob melt, seen a few post about people having issues when using it and tracking the car
