Tutuur's Big turbo Clio R27

Hi Josh,

For you power goals the pump should be fine. It was at about 340bhp where it started lacking fuel pressure. Since your boost pressure will be around 1bar topend it will mean 450kpa which should be perfectly fine with the std 225 pump

Hi mate,

Awesome build, been reading through, the attention to detail is epic!

I noticed you used the meg 225 pump temporarily with the 5.5bar reg?

Has there been any issues? The reason that I ask is I am running a megane 225 fuel pump & 3.5 bar reg on the fuel rail, which I will use with rising rate and return to the top of the fuel pump.

It is running fine without rising rate, but at mapping I will hook up the vac line, so effective pressure could be up around 5bar when mapped using rising rate.

This is to keep standard 225 injectors (480cc I believe) and only around 260-280 bhp

Thank you mate, sounds spot on

Finally got it running the way i want, it's running 1,6 bar from 4000rpm till redline now. Heatsoak was a bit of a problem on the dyno which caused it to pull a few degrees of timing on topend, which it doesn't do on the street. So probably has a few more ponies in real life but this will do for now. Dare i say i have the highest horsepower standard Megane 250 engine in the world right now?

430 odd horses ready to explode. Yup; thats impressive. Congrats ! For that and getting it running 'just as you wanted'.

Seeing as i'm unlikely to see it, and certainly aren't going to get to drive-it - the only thing more impressive would be couple of short videos so we can get some idea of it building boost, accelerating past etc etc.

I for one would absolutely love that

I do have one short video but tbh, that's crap. Doesn't do it justice at all!

Away on holiday tomorrow so the car has been tucked away in the garage now. Sorry to let you down lads, just a bit more patience needed....

Actually it's not bad at all! Second gear spins but third it's all grip. I think the lsd, suspension, michelin ps4's and the smooth incline of power come together really well!

So, bit of an update. Had the car on the dyno again yesterday and finalised the tune on 1.6bar, it will stay like this till coming winter when the engine will come out again for a few upgrades

Finally a soundclip of the exhaust, god i'm going to miss this sound over winter!!!

Great video. What an amazing road!
Sounds like you were struggling for grip at the top of Rev range? ... no surprise considering the amount of power!!
Great car. I enjoy your posts. Cheers
