200: Brake Caliper colour opinions?

Guys,

Thinking of respraying the calipers and getting new Brembo stickers.

Mine currently are silver with a black Brembo sticker (as attached).

Unsure what colour combo to go for. The car is just black and white all through with no other colour at all. Should i do them black with a white sticker? (my issue is the wheel is obviously black and might be pointless)

Do i go for a complete random nice colour as a small touch of something different?

I have same colour car mine are red as its a cup spec - really like the red on it,but I guess red is a bit 'normal' in the scheme of things I guess it depends on what direction your taking the car really ie any other colour changes etc planned.

Quite like the idea of black with white brembo writing how about black with red stickers?

I'm in the same situation. Was thinking silver again with plenty of gloss laquer to make them pop!
Maybe a different colour decal

The Brembo is painted on in the factory you can get the 80mm stencil from addiction motorsport ebay search "4x 80MM BREMBO BRAKE CALIPER STENCIL STICKERS" I redone my silver Brembo logos as the edges where going, used fine steel wool to remove without scratching the face then satin black hammer right to spray back on. You can see the position of the logo to the face in the picture.

I just wanted to put mine back to factory grey so I got a used pair and cleaned them up but not completely successful so I got them aqua blasted and we found that they were anodised in the factory they looked very clean but too bright and shinny also the outside face had fine pitting due to corrosion so I went and got them anodised just saw them yesterday they don't look good I was happy to have the pitting come through in the finish and was prepared to reface the area of the brembo logo but the anodising looks patchy although the smoother inward face coated quite well as the corrosion was very slight and the surface smooth the logo side was patchy so I will wait until the guy comes back from holiday to check with him if he wants to try something else as he does not anodise castings much or if the aqua blasting has left something in the surface that has affected the anodising process although he knew at the time they had been aqua blasted.
The other parts I had done you can check out aqua blasting is not an extremely expensive process and much better finish than soda blasting the arm on the left is what the parts were like before.

I used a 90 or 100mm sticker, because brembo.
Did mine black and they sticker stands out more than anything but I regret not doing them a different colour.
I think red, gold or alien green would look good. Or you could do them candy floss pink [emoji23]

My only issue with red is that i have painted most my cars calipers red lol and it seems the 'Go To' colour for calipers and dare i say it... rear hubs in some cases :tearsofjoy:

I want something random i think, I was thinking along the lines of a green, yellow, blue, purple (im extremely fussy on a shade of purple as it needs to be an exact shade or i dont like purple at all lol).

My issue is i dont want a standard boring colour, i want something different and noticeable.

This shade of blue looks good on a quick google search but wasn't really after blue. also liking the green

Where did you get them done from mate if you don't mind me asking? Looking to get all four calipers refurbed but i'm thinking it may just be better to buy brand new ones.

Because your car is white you can pretty much use any colour and it will look good.

Green calipers can look good if you get the correct shade...

I used to have cadbury purple calipers on my 172 cup when I very first got it. Didn't suit it in the end due to the car being blue but as Barney has said, you'll get away with anything.

This is the only pic I have of them, not great and doesn't show how much they really shined but you get the idea....

best quote i got was from:

info@custom-brake-calipers.co.uk

Last year he quoted me £350 but now he replied with the following:

"The price for the rears would be £185.00 and the fronts £275.00 which is £460, my prices have gone up slightly since last year"

I told him he quoted me £350 last year so he said he will do it for me for £400, ended up paying £415 as he said a few parts were needed like the bleeding nipple which is fair enough i think.

think when i researched into buying new the best i found was £350 for the fronts and £120 for the rears.

Beaniesports in Bedford helped me out as he has a spare set of brakes so he sent them for me, and going Saturday to have them fitted and will leave him my set. he sent me that picture and said it looks like a top job!
