Hey Liam, pleased to be of use!
I've heard that you can speak to Renault through their chat option on the main website and if you give them your VIN, they can tell you the spec.
On a separate note, you should have a plaque on the console by the gearstick I believe? Judging by your picture, the Renault F1 logo looks red instead of yellow - are you sure it's a genuine F1? Does it have Recaro's?

As Micah said, looking at that sticker it looks like a stickered-up 'regular' 197 rather than a genuine F1. Not that there's anything wrong with that, the F1 was nothing special anyway imo, it's not like it has better a engine or better suspension or anything, the only differences were the stickers and a wee plaque.

You can see on my last image the sticker your both on about with f1 and a number but struggle to work it out. I'm sure its genuine f1

That's the chassis number though.
All F1's have a plaque like this:

And the genuine stickers are yellow:

Checking the number plate online of the blue one above, it's showing as a Renault Sport Clio 197 F1. Running your number plate shows it as a Clio 197, so not an F1. Your best bet is to 'phone Renault UK and give them your VIN number, they'll be able to tell you straight away.

Ok thanks for all your help I will try ringing them when I get a min. Someone must have gone to alot of effort then lol

Hi Liam, as people have said, yours would appear to be a regular 197 with Recaros and possibly the Cup chassis too (red Brembos indicate try try this, unless they've just been painted red). If this is the case, it's as good as an F1 anyway as these were the only worthwhile differences anyway. That said, I do like the stickers though.

We enjoy the car mate, it's a good spec either way.

Yeah, unlikely it's an F1 to be honest, but that doesnt matter - you've got yourself a Clio that has awesome seats and has a bit of customisation. A plus that it also has the Cup spoiler. Looks like it could do with some coilovers or lowering springs, that would make it look nice and aggressive

100% definitely not an F1, but as @Sean197 said above, if you have a full fat cup, the only difference is the stickers and the plaque. No biggie at all.

There's more than a few cars on here that are not F1's Liam and they all look stunning and get down the road just as quick.:grinning:

im sure it wont matter soon as you will start modifying it very soon :track:

look great and them bonnet vents look good mate..

This is not a R27, sorry. Reading some of these posts I'm not sure if you guys are slating the R27 as a stickered up 197 with a plaque. I suppose with the exception of the Raider then none of these 'special' editions (Silverstone, Gordini) are worthy? I love the fact I own a R27 and the fact it's LY makes it even more 'special' in my eyes.
