L33th3tr33's Ultra red 197

Absolutely love the way the car sits, makes me want to put the standard alloys back on mine! Are those 20mm spacers you have?

I've had a massive headache looking for wheels.... such an odd spec wheel! But after accepting that I'll have to keep the standard wheels and choosing to change the colour, I actually like how they look, all silver and red from the side, and red and black from the front and rear! I believe they are 19mm, I got them from k-tech as they were the cheapest ones I could find including bolts.

Coming along nicely mate. Like the retro style yellow fogs.

Thanks, I've always loved yellow fogs, yellow cuts through fog best so it's function and form, best of both worlds.

Stance looks awesome now with the new shockers.Really-really good....

Love the fogs too. Maybe because I'm old-skool
Don't know why more people havnt done this. Such a 'French' thing to do.

I might be copying you on that - having pondered for a while but never quite getting around to it !

Yep, I think it's 99% there! I could use the last 10mm on the front to give it a little rake but I haven't got any rubbing and I don't scrape getting on or off my drive so I'm not going to ruin that!

You should definitely do it! It would go well on yours, I'm actually reading through the last few pages of your project thread [emoji106] looks great!

Looking great are the fog's painted or is it a film?

but not seen any for a while

It's a film bud, I had some paint on stuff and couldn't get a uniform coating, or at least not up to my standards. I'll see if I can get a link to the one I have. I used 2 layers with plenty of overlap so it doesn't peel off.

Here's the one I got... plenty left over too. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UK-Car-He...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

Go for golden yellow, the fluorescent is horrible.

Great photos. Nice to see silver alloys for a change!

Ps you need a bigger aerial:wink:

I am considering keeping them silver but black is very tempting!

I know I need a smaller one, just need to make sure I can keep pudsy though! [emoji23]

Thanks guys!

The first picture looks like it's been parked backwards into a hedge :tearsofjoy:

In all seriousness though, looks really good, love how it sits and the silver wheels look much nicer on a UR than black wheels would in my opinion.

My only gripe with silver is that they're caked in brake dust after a day, black would be easier to maintain.

Roof racks are the must have mod nowadays [emoji6]
I still have that roof rack! I don't have a need for it anymore though, sold my downhill rig a couple years ago now and haven't really had any interest in buying another. I still have all my kit though, I won't ever sell it!

I probably change my push bikes more than my cars and my cars have been known to last less time than a tank of fuel, or at least one did!

Don't get me started on that, I've had loads! My favourite was a chumba f5, custom adjustable shock linkage, ccdb, boxxer wc.... it was mega light too!

Sold it to insure my 172 cup, I'd have kept it looking back now.

I wouldn't say black is much easier to maintain. My Lotus has black wheels and they're a bit of a nightmare to be honest. Anthracite hides brake dust best in my experience.

Although our bronze Ultraleggera have been pretty good too, but that might be more to do with the coating of C5 they got prior to fitting.

But yeah, black isn't much better than silver in my experience!
