Roshi's Progress Thread

As per the link you sent, I don't know how I feel about it. I noticed it was at the H&W cranes. Thats where I work and am conscious its nicer than mine!! lol

I thought being from NI I was safe enough cause I haven't seen many Clio 200's about lol

There's always inspiration from somewhere mate. Plus he's probably had his longer and thrown a bit of money at it over time.

nice touches..any mods to your engine/exhaust??
Not yet. haven't really researched into it yet. wouldn't mind it being slightly noisier but don't think I want the route of a whole exhaust system.

Wouldn't mind a few ideas on mods to do to it tbh. Gonna brows through the forums for a bit

If you want noise get an induction kit, the KTEC one is relatively cheap and I've heard only good things about it from people on here.

This is sound advice Dale. So many people throw decent money at an exhaust but a lot of them have a bit of drone, enough for some people to take them back off. Not a fan of KTec at all but their induction kit is cheap, works, and sounds like throttle bodies. Plus it's well behaved on part throttle but full on when wide open. If on a budget I'd go for that over an exhaust for sure. Especially with a 200 as the tips in the diffuser make the exhaust look pretty badass anyway.

Update:

If have now installed 20mm Hub Centric Spacers all round and dropped the car on 30mm H&R springs and absolutely love it.

Heres a few before and after pics and a few as it sits 'excuse the dirt for now, hopefully get a wash tonight!)

A few of the process (the front were an absolute ballache of the mechanic (my mate), front left would not play ball at all!)

Any moderators... is there anyway I can get this thread renamed to 'Roshi's Progress Thread' and moved to the correct section?

Thanks

Massive improvement to how it sits now. Looks so much better.

How is the drive?

Drives as expected in my eyes. Much stiffer and harder as I was lead to believe.

I don't know weather it's because I'm a weirdo or not but I quite like it stiffer, more rigid instead of bouncing a bit after hitting a bump if you know what I mean lol.

Though I would say the H&R would be on the harder side as described across the forums. Speed bumps generally don't like me now and definitely noticeable over them but as to be expected.

The sacrifices you make to look good [emoji23]

Nice job. Sitting very well now and looking good doing it..

I'm with you on needing some firmness to remind yourself it's a hot-hatch !

Enjoy.....

So.... say and read all of Shuv's progress thread over the last few days and found links to the hoses used. I ordered yellow and red.

Yellow arrived today and a quick installation and wipe down happened. The difference is ridiculous for a 5 minute job.

Thanks for the 'inspiration' (I put that word in quotes as I have a check to use it, I blatantly just STOLE your idea!) hope you don't mind lol.

Think the yellow looks well with the yellow caps, dip stick etc.

I will oust a pic with the red on when they arrive. Probably tomorrow for contrast between the 2

Another small update with a very small but powerful change.

Finally got rid of them Charles Hurst mats *spit* and got some apparently “tailored fit MK3 Clio mats”

They do fit perfectly and look 100% better. Gives the extremely dull interior an extra little something [emoji4]

Only issue is the plastic clip holes on the mats do not match the studs on the floor. The mats holes are much wider apart. Don’t know weather the standard MK3 floor studs are different than the 200? Not really fussed. As long as they don’t slip I don’t really care for under £20. Certainly beats the shit Hurst mats that curl up in front of my clutch from time to time! lol
