Shuv's Racing Blue 200...................

You don't need half a litre, 100-200ml works just as well but doesn't foam as well

In reality you dont 'need' a jetwasher, or snow foam; to do a good job.

I often just use a hose-attachment to 'snow-foam' / pre-clean. Far less of a bind and drags 90% of the crap off that full-on snow-foaming does.

But some of us just like to hey Greg......

Looks great Shuv, as mentioned before I really do like the black additions - fairly subtle, but with a great effect.

Quite amusing how you used the word 'grubby' in a sentence describing your car..... yeah right

Syer your car looks so nice with the new black bits..really nice..can't stop looking at it..how much did it cost you, spoiler and side strips?

Thankyou buddy. You tempted to do the same ? Join the 'Black-n-Blue' club

I paid £80 for the spoiler painting and £70 for the 4 x door strips.

All were sanded, primed, painted and lacquered.

Not a bad price I thought....

Ok Shuv there is no doubt you have one of the nicest cars on the forum and I love your ideas. I also know you like/listen to other folks opinions so here's mine. Keep repeaters clear, keep bullets original and return diamonds back to original and as said lose the decals off the quarter panels. Exterior finished.

Ha ha Colin. Very good

Im my management and leadership experience - that's almost what's classically known as a negative sandwich. You've given in one hand - but subtly and in no uncertain terms taken in the other.....

I'm half with you though buddy. I like the Silver handles, exhaust trims and Renaultsport badges. As i always said: Think Tricolour not Bi-colour. And in regard of the side-repeaters: If some smoked items existed i'd possibly try some. But painting / spraying / tinting or applying some film over the standard items - i am most definitely not doing. So clear they indeed stay.

Rear-quarter decals wise i'm open to offers on; and not bothered either way. The only slight (?) concern i'd have removing - is if any paint-fading / ghosting appeared underneath once removed. Now that wouldn't be a cheap and easy fix !

Silver Renault Diamonds as standard - to bring out more Silver you think ?

Thanks for your valued input :sunglasses:

I like what I see Shuv - the black/blue combo but I feel it's getting too focused on the black. The silver handles, bullets and badges would keep it looking original plus. Only my personal opinion mate and do not let this retract from your own good taste ideas. Sometimes better to look at things with fresh eyes.

Are the black triangles painted or covers?

Sorry - missed this.

The Renault Diamonds front and rear ?

Mine (Like most) are covers that stick over the top. About £40 a set new. And the 200 and 197 need different sized fronts if you're thinking about some....(200 is bigger).

Normally come plain black or Carbon effect. I got mine second-hand on eBay...someone had these Hydro-dipped in Carbon finish.

Hope that helps....

Might have to do the same with my UR...the black strips and spoiler just complete it for me..personally I'd leave the handles silver and RB the bullets!

For example i use autofoam without any water in foam lance bottle. 100% autofoam in that bottle.
Then i adjust foam lance knob to have correct type of foam. Normal wash takes approx 1 desilitre (0.1 litre).
Everything more is waste of product. Wash power is really good even it seems to be "thin" foam..

Autofoam is designed to use 100%, foam lance mixes it with water from pressure washer.
I can take film of my foam lance in action, you see what kind of foam i use and how PA-lance works.

New lower window trims (The ones with the crappo plastic B-pillar clip) arrived from RPD today. Unfortunately the drivers side was bent in the post :-(

Never mind: Paul is ordering me up another one tomorrow and it's given me the chance to cave-in and eventually order some complete new window seals too. I WILL get rid of those damned ugly kinks in the trim...

@sevenfourate what do you use for your arches mate? struggling to find anything that keeps them black?

You're asking the wrong man i'm afraid buddy :flushed:

Apart from the occasional whip-over with a sponge; i'm just a jet-wash and go guy as far as inner arches are concerned.

As nice as they look clean - it's pretty short term IMO; and i've never quite got my head around or seen the point in it.

***You could just slam-it to the deck to hide them; and be done with it :tongueclosed:

Your search continues
