My new Clio 197 Progress Thread

I didn't I'm afraid, I hated it so much I put my exhaust back to standard (apart from decat)
The car had an absolutely horrendous flat spot/stutter. And it was too loud and too raspy. It lasted two days haha.

I was already afraid you would say that, go for a aftermarket one!

Quick, brief update...
Not done much work on it recently, but I've fitted a resonated Milltek system. It sounds absolutely awesome.
Infortunately I've not had chance to get paintwork done, mainly due to the crap weather etc.
Plans for the next few months are...
Make a carbon centre dash panel, Buy and fit bucket seats (fed up of slipping and sliding around on track days), Steering wheel retrim, paint bumpers and new spoiler (bought a sprint spoiler)
Pictures will be uploaded at weekend.

Good to see you giving the 197 some love Nick.

Great choice on the exhaust. Aside from the Akra, I think it's the best one.

Look forward to the pics.

Quick update as I've been off thevforum for a good few months. (Busy with new business)
So recently I've not done much with car, couple of faults appeared, one of which I'm struggling with - 'Brake fault' so no abs or esp, fault code shows up as DF001, computer power supply. Tried all sorts but no luck!!!

Anyway today I purchased a Megane engine with everything for the conversion. It was recently mapped to 268bhp, so very excited to get this started.
Will post updates and pics when I begin.

Another update as I've been very very busy lately...
The clio is very different now.
She has finally had her conversion and is now running a Megane R26 setup.
To drive it, it is completely different. Power delivery is instant and novscreaming engine anymore it is also better on fuel having normal gear ratios from the R26 gearbox.
And the LSD... what can I say!!!
Thought these cars handled amazingly well to start... now it's just an absolute weapon! And I can't wait to get it on track.
She's also had the addition of recaros... so looking rather nice now I must say.

I will be doing a photo shoot soon when there is a break in the weather
I will upload some good shots in a week or so. For now... these will have to do

It's just mega!! Rather that washing out across the turns it just pulls into the bend...and so much that before I got used to it, it would pull me right into the inside of a turn when I was trying to exit lmao
