Tutuur's Big turbo Clio R27

That is looking really well, have to get a vid of it up when it's on! Every time I see your number plate porn keeps coming to mind, have I issues! Lol

Hahahah, you're not the only one mate, more people notice that!

Will get a vid up of it running for sure, how couldn't I!

Changed the design of the silincer hangers a bit to make them adjustable:

Now just need to source 2 m8 bolts and corresponding bushes which will fit snug into the rubbers

Decided to redo the oil return, way more futureproof now:

Biggest challenge now is fabricating a bracket for the wastegate actuator....

Finally some progress again, had to make an egt probe into the exhaust manifold, fabricate a bracket and rod for the wastegate actuator, together with some more smaller stuff.

However that has been finished now after which the engine looked like this:

Put it in straight after:

Still alot on the to-do list but i'm getting closer!

STUNNING work (Accompanied by great pics) as always.

Your'e chunking away at the project now. The excitement must be building !!!!

thats brilliant..what output are you looking at??thats one big turbo!!

Still a long way to go as i'll be doing mapping myself, first have to finish it, drive it and make sure everything is ok. After that i'll be trying to make power. Eventually i'm hoping 500nm and 450bhp but anything north of 400 and safe will do for me

Yeah it does, after over 6 months of work it's finally taking shape now!

Two steps forward, one step back.... fired up the engine today which was great, however after fitting new outer cv's, bolting subframe, wishbone's etc back together i noticed the wheels where stuck, guess what, brand new gkn outer cv's don't fit.....

Going to put the old driveshafts back on now as the car has to be back on the road before FCS, a day worth of work in the bin though!

Now on to the happy bit:

Bummer on the drive shafts....

THAT sound must have eased the pain somewhat though. Good times

Animal that sound ! Your getting close now

First update without pictures as i haven't found an alternative for Photobucket yet.

Managed to finish the car off yesterday, only to find out i've made a mistake with the tank breather so the fuel tank had to come off again....

So that's what i did today, after that bled the brakes another time as it wasn't perfect yet. Some cleaning of the 6 month dust eating in the garage and took it for a testdrive after.

The turbo already made a few woosh and phie sounds which sounds so addictive! Sadly i came to the conclusion the cooling fan wasn't working properly, after some continuity tests i came to the conclusion it has a short somewhere, doh!

Managed to get a day off work tomorrow so that'll be my last chance to fix it before heading over to FCS next weekend, fingers crossed!

Fixed the car today and had a proper testdrive, seems all issues are sorted now so hopefully she will get me to and from FCS without problems

Great news ! Really looking forward to seeing and hearing this in due time.

Have fun at FCS

nice one mate..really pleased for you since i know how much trouble these conversions can give you!!
