Sean's 197T - RIP Albi :(

Finished my rear badge, which as it happens has come at an opportune moment as the 'T' on the Renault Sport boot badge is coming off, so I'm in need of a replacement anyway.

I'll trial fit later this week, however I've also ordered some genuine carbon sheet as I'm thinking of making the black section out of real carbon which I think will look better, but we'll see. I also have some brand new Streamline carbon diamonds coming this week, but seeing Streamline's 'interesting' quality control recently i'll be giving them a few coats of lacquer before fitting.

Good work Sean, always nice to see something a bit different to the norm. Carbon backing should finish it off well.

Finally found some time to look back over your videos from Spa. Looked like you had a great time, looks an amazing track, going to make it an aim to get there next year!

Keep looking at the Spa stuff on here and am really geared up to go next April - anyone know the dates?
Also, those tyres are now £89 a corner! Still cheap for what you get, I am guessing?

That's a shame on the price! They're still great tyres though, couldn't recommend them enough.

So sad :worried: Easily the most fun car I've ever owned. I've kept a few bits and pieces to be transplanted into the new one, which won't be for at least a year yet as we have a baby arriving in December. Next one will be bigger and better though, with all the little niggles ironed out.

And on the driveway to remind you everyday. Not good

Glad to hear your planning ahead already though. And with experience it can only be a 'better' version that evolves.

Once the most important arrival happens first of course !!

Hows the new ride anyway ?

You must be thinking of the next ones spec then Sean - give us a taste at least?

Yes, having it on the drive doesn't help... hopefully it'll be gone within 2 weeks at the most.
New car is great, like driving a fully-loaded, fast, armchair. 184bhp and 280lb/ft so it's not slow. Averaging 55mpg too.
I'll get some pics up at the weekend once it's been given the full Auto Finesse/Collinite treatment!

Yep, either that or a forged 225 with a proper diff this time. I want more power though, not that it 'needed' it per se, I was just getting used to 280bhp. Next one will be properly stripped and caged too, with cup racer suspension if I can get hold of some.
I'll do all the work myself this time too, the removal was actually very straightforward, even with very basic tools.
