LY Project Cup

Agreed it needs the B pillar stickers, some colours can pull it off, but that definitely needs the contrast. Looking super clean!

Fair shout on taking the mods off as you already have a toy for that, i can't totally relate to both your issues as my dog hates exhausts too.

The bushes have been a nightmare for me I've put 500 miles on them and steering wheel still vibrates more than my Mrs Hitachi magik wand on maximum.

Hats off to you Sam. Unmodding your car to suit your dog is pretty awesome to be honest. He's totally worth it too!

Was told they get better with age but 4 cyclinders just aren't balanced enough to take up rated engine mounts well.

Looking good!

Can't wait to see more mods. I assume that this is staying as a road car, firstly? Kinda same approach as mine.

Haha yes this will defantly be staying a road car, cannot be having another pretty much undriveable car and need another daily for my daily. But that's not saying I won't do a few track sessions and ring trip in it.

Beautiful car, and nice M3 too, pretty sure I did a track day at Bedford before in my Swift Sport and you was there in the M3.

Good to see the car is getting a freshen up mate, I think it looks alright without the B pillar vinyls. Noticed you've got the older style RenaultSport badge on the back which is interesting and missing the one under the bonnet, two more for the list if you're going all out on the OEM side.

I think that the cookie has already started to crumble though haha :tearsofjoy:

Little bit of work on the cup today (M3 is getting rather neglected)

Took the Akrapovic system off today and back to stock, only picture got was the chrome tips making a return

Took few of the powerflex engine mount inserts out too, and the purple spacer in the upper torque arm. Have a stock arm on order, but will put some miles into this setup to see how I feel. Will probably leave the gearbox mount insert in just as its tiny bit more involved to remove.

Also cleaned out from under the wiper tray, wasn't even remotely grubby in there but piece of mind now knows its clear.

Have some B-pillar trims on order, looks odd without so they will go on straight away.

Took a few hours out to test run my brother new trailer, he deals with a lot of super & classic ect car so wanted to try it out first on something inexpensive

Never driven with a trailer before so he made me do a few reversing manoeuvres, turns out in a natural.

Were you slightly offended by that, or take it with a pinch of salt with it being from your brother?

The Akra is up for a great price, I'm sure someone will snap your hand off for that! Hope you're happier with the ride of the car now you've taken the PF mounts off.

handy thing to have a trailer..would love to have one myself and something to tow it with :poke:

Crazy just been linked to this as was chatting about this car on Facebook other day as it's the only Liquid Yellow cup in existence and a bunch of us were thinking if it was still about and boom here it is

Yeah its still around.

Not really anything to update.

Brought that taylor cut B-pillar trim as looked rather odd without it.

Managed to wedge the Enduro in for a few rides lately

Just been using it as a normal car, yet still the only one to use the rear seats is the dog

Some black Speedlines and i'll be happy. Then will actually give it a good clean up and get some decent photos of it.

Gave the cup a little TLC, replaced a tired looking Pipercross filter with a Bosch paper item

Fitted a new AC condenser rad, so hopefully with a re-gas that should solve my AC problem

nice one, hopefully it works! Which condenser did you go for? I need a new one, ranging from a Valeo item on eurocarparts at £150 (with discount) to £110 on ebay.

OT - Was about to say I need more pics of the dog, but then I spotted him in the bottom pic lol

I went for the the Valeo one from Carparts4less with a discount code and big and bulky delivery it was £140. So with a re-gas around £50 hopefully that should sort the AC for under £200.

Haha the dog is always around.

Great work doing the condenser yourself. I'm paying 3hrs labour next week to have mine fitted:pensive:

What's that cheeky engine block you've got tucked behind the dog?
