Branx's Black 197

A cupra splitter with stuke winglets would look really good

Yeah I've seen that being done, but is it a straight fit? Would the mounting points (plastic brackets) be visible if only Cupra splitter is mounted?

They're fairly cheap here new.

That's a good point. I believe you need to split the OEM splitter across the bottom to hide the self tapping screws. Your best bet would be getting a cheap second hand OEM splitter and just bonding it on so it will keep it's shape and won't pop out like they normally do

Loads of really nice pics there mate.

The side shot with the sun by the mirror and the last one especially.

Looking really nice. Think those wheels in silver look really nice on yours.

Thx mate, I like those two pics as well.
iPhone 7 Plus does it quite good I'd say

Wheels are great, but only as a winter set, even though stance is quite good on them - but on Monday new Yoko AD08Rs are being fitted to the OEM wheels together with some 20mm spacers on all 4 corners. Looking forward to it.

Of course, as soon as the budget allows it, Ultras will replace OEM wheels which will become new winter wheels. Silverstones are then going bye-bye

What's happening here?

Oh yeah, it's my summer set, new AD08Rs:

Fitted, sadly without spacers at the moment, tomorrow to the shop again to get them fitted, as they were supplied with longer bolts than needed.

But the tires are out of this world! Jesus when you think this car can't grip more - it does! Properly satisfied, and it's only 20 degrees outside, they should stick more when hotter.
Tomorrow update with spacers on :drunk:

New rubber sounds great by all accounts. What rubber did you have before / are comparing too....?

These are still supposed to be ok in the damp too aren't they ?

Eagle F1 Assymetric 2 was the old one... uncomparable I'd say on the dry... GYs would roll much to soon, soft sidewall... haven't tried them on the wet yet, but this new AD08R is supposed to be improved against the old AD08 in every aspect, including wet - new better compound with silica bla bla

Some better explanation here: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Yokohama&tireModel=ADVAN+Neova+AD08+R

Nice one, you said 20 degrees! It's snowing where I am! I was just about to ask where are you then I seen it on your profile! Lol

I found AD08's pretty good in the wet..if the new compound improves their capability in damp conditions,I'd be very happy with a set..nice one there

One thing to mention, is that they're much more 'hard' and bumpy on city roads, probably due to really firm sidewall, no roll whatsoever but normal city driving can be a bit harsher then on other tires.

very much true..cruising on GY ass3 is like being in a pram..:thumb:

Yes mate, that last pic showing the rear of your car outside looks excellent. Subtle difference but it makes all the difference!

Eibach Pro-Kit mounted, while we were doing that, new top shock mounts are changed as well. Everything stiff like it should be

Some holes in the radiator were found unfortunately, so we went and purchased a new radiator, swapped it, filled new coolant and job done.

I'm liking the drop already, just enough, subtle but good... Expecting it will still sit down a bit more on the front, as I've just done maybe 15-20 miles.

Unfortunately, was a very hectic day, so no progress pictures, and no real side by side comparison or measurements, but I can try to show it like this, left before - right after:

Of course, wheel alignment done immediately, some minor adjustments needed, all good:

To be continued

Have to say if I had to pick another colour to get in the Clio it would have to be a black one! I love black cars, I've had 5!
