    Supercharger my 197.

Sounds like you need to outsource the mapping to Horsham Developments to speed things up! Can you tell me whether the AC can be retained with the SC kit? Thanks, Rich

If you could change one thing about the clio.....

    - Better mpg when cruising. - Better gear ratios to allow this. - More torque to allow this. - Small capacity and turbo to provide this. Handling is perfect, looks are pretty damned awesome as are the brakes, tyres out the box (in my opinion). Rich

    Petrol

^ I agree. I'm running on 95ron this week as I filled up to go camping, so was going to be motorway crunching. Car returned 35mpg sat at 80mph most of the time. I usually fill with super market super unleaded as I do a tank a week getting to work - never had any problems. Rich

What would you change your clio for (if u had 2)

Hmm, assuming it was something within budget and running costs ability, I'd be looking at: - 2010 Megane 250 with a bunch of options - 2008 BMW 335d - remapped - 2009 Mini John Cooper Works (factory edition) - 205 Mi16 (they still rock my world) Rich

    Engine Blew up!!

A friends engine (bottom end) went pop in Germany too a few weeks back. I put that down to the oil giving up after being cooked on the nurburgring though. I know this doesn't apply here, but for sustained track use the RS 200 needs an oil cooler. I backed out of a lap after the oil hit 135oC...

    SPAX RSX Coilovers

I ran Spax RSX coilovers on my Alpina B3S. They were OK, but the adjustable dampening was soft-ish > rock-hard in about 4 clicks, then 20-odd clicks of 'too harsh to use on the road'. They adjusted fine and didn't show any signs of rust though - but I am an obsessive cleaner! Never used them...

    gear changing

Mines done the same from new, I've learnt to just change to 2nd a bit slower. I guess it's a synchromesh problem, so I'll let the garage know when it goes in for it's first service. March '11 car... If you've got warranty, get it sorted as it's probably first signs of gearbox problems. Rich

    New Clio Williams ?

They'll never get 240bhp from a 2.0 NA engine... hell, they can't even get 200bhp! So, it's either BS, or it's a Megane engine. If it's a Megane engine, I'll buy one. Rich

Track day mods on a daily driver?

I will be the first to admit, my RS clio 200 with cup suspension is far better a car than I am a driver! Friends that went to the ring with me were way closer to the limits of the car, and went beyond the limits of the standard tyres! lol (the brake pads were fine, weirdly) Rich

    Engine help

Any garage that blames you for a fault shouldn't be trusted. Having been in a Clio 200 where the bottom end let go recently, it does sound like a tapping top end, but any decent mechanic should be able to hear the difference between that and a tappet! Rich

Within about the first 20 ft

I get the same.. and have assumed it's some kind of ABS thing. March 2011 car. Rich

Track day mods on a daily driver?

Having recently come back from the Nurgburgring, I don't think the Clio needs anything for the odd trackday. Having been 4-up chasing a Focus RS for a couple of laps, they punch waaay above their weight in standard form. :) If you cant resist upgrading, then buy a Megane, I guess? Rich

    197 v 200

I love the look of the 200... can't say I've driven a 197 though to know the differences. Rich

    200 Cup Jack

If you park on the flat with your handbrake on, I'd say it's pretty unlikely it'll fall off the jack. :)
