LY200/197 Zürich Oerlikon - CH (Switzerland)

If I manage to book on to the Renault day then I'll stay on Saturday too for some tourist laps. We'll have a chance to meet up then. Looking forward to it.

The calendar is here http://www.renault-sport.com/fr/journees_passion/calendrier.php But although the Nurburgring date's been up for a while, you still can't sign up for it yet. Also, they cryptically write that it will be run along a different format to their other days but don't say...

LY200/197 Zürich Oerlikon - CH (Switzerland)

Yeah, what's with the 17th June trip? I see it's already the longest thread in history. Are you just planning to turn up for tourist laps? Renault France are supposed to be holding a track day on the 17th but it's not bookable yet.

Hmm, that ACS thing is a bit expensive (chf 1150) and Hockenheim is not my favourtie track, but thanks for the tip. It's always good to know what's out there. I'll see how keen I am nearer the time. I'm doing Spa on 26 April, probably Nurburgring on 17th June and am looking at Chenevières on...

I'm in Zurich. Mine's a white 200, but it's sufficiently dirty that you could have mistaken it for LY. Backspin - do you do any track days? I'm looking for options beyond those offered by Renault; Anneau and Dijon probably.

    steering column extension?

Hadn't thought of that option. I did wonder if there was some sort of boss to mount between the column and the wheel, but then the controls would be out of finger reach. I sometimes need the wipers and indicators even on track days.

    steering column extension?

Hi everyone, I've got a 200 FF + cup. The steering column is adjustable but even when fully extended the wheel is too far away for track driving. It's fine for on the road. I can't compromise any further with seat adjustments, I need a longer steering column. Anyone attempted this or know if a...

    197's and Snow Chains

The Contis are one of the best but are also expensive. You get what you pay for I suppose. However, if you're only getting them for 1 trip, anything by one of the major brands would suffice. Here's a recent test from Germany, lower scores are better...

    Cup pack or not?

See if it's possible to get a test drive in a 'cupped' car. There's quite a difference and you'll only know how much compromise you can put up with if you try it. I have the cup suspension on mine but there are some bumpy roads near me where I'd have more fun without it. The standard setup is...

    197's and Snow Chains

Hi all, I live in Switzerland and frequently drive in the mountains in winter. I got my clio200 in May and the dealer confirmed that chains could be used. Plus in the handbook it mentions that you only fit them to the front. I doubt it's different on the 197. It will be tight, but ok...
