    First mod

Along the spraying / caliper line - Next easy one to do that will make a difference is to take off all your exterior plastic trims and diffuser, give them a good clean and using a cheap £5 spray paint for plastics give them a good going over. Turns all the crappy faded grey bits to looking brand...

    meg 250. . . this a good price?

I have a saved search for 250's - The yellow one has been on for a while and the dealer had dropped the price by £1k since it was first listed - I think the last drop was Friday. I reckon given another few days and they'd take another £500 off. There's a few nice ones on Autotrader at the mo in...

    RR Printout Thread

I saw you were first of the Clio's booked in on the group buy... Mine's the first 197 to be done. Not sure what to expect - perhaps disappointment...! :s I notice that the times on the graphs it looks like they've only spent 15 minutes on your car? I'll be pissed if that's the case tomorrow -...

which maxogen should I go for?

Do you know any suppliers Mark...? ;) haha Tom - I'd recommend the custom set up. The noise is beasty, then unreal on hard acceleration as the air is sucked in. Can't comment on the rear location tho as I replaced the battery at the same time.

    Dirty Decals / Fading Bits

There's a guide in the how to detailing vinyl wrapping the pillar - that could be an option...? Mine were fading so I masked up the windows/paintwork and went over them carefully with a black spray paint. There were a couple of 'oh sh*t' moments where the paint was heavier in certain places but...

Exterior window trim (where will i find to buy?)

Anyone got a part number? Whenever I drop my window and put it back up it comes covered in water... I guess it could do with replacing...!

Changing door sensor (not handles) on keyless entry

I had a similar issue - the car wouldn't lock using the button on the handle. This was an intermittent thing too but more so when it rained. After some searching on here it was clear it wouldn't be a cheap fix if the handles were gone so I left it. I recently swapped the main car battery over...

New Steering wheel clio197 first (I think)

I got the blue one not so long ago : Goes well on my Albi Blue and with the recently dipped interior trims. The guy who bought your steering wheel made me an offer on my old one - £35 inc postage - The cheapest I could find postage was £24 via Parcelforce so after eBay, PayPal & P&P I...

ITG Maxogen - a month on...

Around a month ago I swapped the standard airbox with K&N Panel filter & the original battery to an ITG Maxogen & Varley Red Top.... First I must say thanks to Smoggymark for many PMs with help and instructions on how to fit the thing... :) Also thanks to Daemon Tweeks for providing a great...

will this Clio radio be a direct swap?

Get yourself an Alpine / Pioneer head unit and some Connects2 adapters. You'd also need a fascia surround (a few quid on eBay) cos most aftermarket HU's are a bit narrower than the standard one.

Someone hit me - Advice please

If it looked like there was no likelyhood of a legal resolution I'd be turning up at the house in the middle of the night and going vigilante with a can of spray paint - a few choice alternate words for a ladies front bottom would go down a treat - written down the panels of her...

swapping cabasse (cd changer) head unit for aftermarket

Have a read of this thread : http://www.clio197.net/forum/showthread.php?11698-Getting-an-Alpine-to-work-on-197-steering-controls&highlight=controls or just do a search for 'controls' or 'stalk' I have an Alpine unit too and I think it's the Connects2 adapter I bought but as said - there's no...

swapping cabasse (cd changer) head unit for aftermarket

This is untrue. You'll lose the head display but steering stalk controls work fine.
