    Shuv's Racing Blue 200...................

Shuv, Apologies if I've missed your reason for going to a specific trimmer, but have you spoken with Edge Automotive? They retrimmed my Recaro seats when I had my 197, and the job they did was superb, plus they stitched both the Renault Sport and Recaro logos.

Race dash, and general UI chat!

Are you intending to completely remove the clocks from the car? If so, what other standard electronics are you planning on leaving in the car? With them being linked via CAN you may have some problems. You could do what Lambo did with the old Gallardo Super Trofeo cars and take the standard...

    Trackspec Clio 197

Glad my old car has gone to someone who's going to enjoy it! The car didn't get used as much as I would have liked, but was used at Snetterton a fair few times. Are you aware it has DS3000 front pads already on it?

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

The CAN on the Meg is the same as on the Clio, so it's a bit strange they're saying they have to redo it all! Hopefully they'll get it sorted for you though.

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

Is your car keyless? I'm guessing it is if SC are having trouble getting it to start. The CAN behaviour of the Clio is the same as on the Megane. If they've replicated the behaviour of the stock Megane ECU then it should be a trivial job for them to get the Clio up and running unless they...

    Torque Values

Can anyone confirm the torque values for the front caliper bolts and the Torx bolts for the front brake discs please. Thanks in advance.

    Semi slick all year round

No they won't. They'll perform significantly worse than a standard road tyre when used in particularly cold conditions because of the compound used in them. Track tyres are designed to be used at higher operating temperatures than standard road tyres and operate poorly below their intended...

    Cambridgeshire specialists?

I don't think there's any specialists in Cambridgeshire. Have a read up on TdF and make up your own mind, but I personally would give them a miss, and their reputation has taken a bit of a battering recently! If you are prepared to travel (about 1 hour from Ely), then you won't find a better...

Norfolk Newbie - Racing Blue 197

Welcome to the forum! i saw you mentioned a service and some other bits are going to be done? Where are you getting the work done? The reason for asking is because I would highly recommend avoid using Holden Renault in Norwich. Having been through some warranty issues with them on my wife's...

    Am i missing something?

Check that you've wired the speakers in phase. If you've got the phase wrong on them, you will end up with even less bass than you'd normally have from the standard head unit, and a woolly sound.

Speedline Turini 17 x 8 Do they fit?

Here's the ebay link for these so people can see the spec. The info above isn't enough to confirm fitment. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Speedline-Turini-17-x-8-Brand-New-Black-Flowformed-Motorsport-Alloy-Wheels-/271758262369?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3f460e0061

    Right tyres?

I have to disagree with Fernandez and Paddy_R. The choice of tyres is generally very subjective, and coupled with different car setups, conditions and people's requirements for what they want from a tyre and the whole car setup, it is difficult to make sweeping statements saying one tyre is...

    OBD software?

VCDS will work in generic OBD mode on the Clio for the engine ECU. For access to other ECUs you will need CLIP (equivalent to VAS) or the VCDS equivalent is RSTuner from http://fastchip.nl/
